Who knew we were going to get a history tour, a cultural tour,a food tour AND make a friend? Our tour guide Olga Guzman is a charming lady. Olga took us several places a tourist wouldn't normally visit. All the food was excellent, actually better food on the tour than most of the high end Antigua restaurants we visited earlier in the week. We ate some crazy produce at the market, don't know what it was but it was fun! She kept up a running narrative as we walked through the city and was super informative. My partner has some mobility issues and without us even asking Olga hailed a TukTuk to help us along. We were having so much fun that I didn't even notice we had exceeded the 3 hour tour time. At the end of the tour we asked for directions to a liquor store and Olga was kind enough to escort us there personally. I highly recommend this tour and be sure to request Olga as your guide, she is the best! Tell her the Texans said "Hola!"

I contacted this company in November for two February tours: the market tour and the dinner tour. They answered me right away and said great, no problem, lets talk closer to your arrival. When I tried again to contact them in January, they NEVER replied. I tried three times, even contacting the owner (who is in Colombia.) I don't think a customer should chase a business to get a reply. I wonder if they are still in business in Antigua? Anyway we found another Antigua food tour company who were totally responsive, much more reasonably priced, and we had a fabulous tour with them.

Olga, our tour guide, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and did a great job guiding us through several restaurants, the central market and the streets of Antigua. The various food we sampled was all very good, we particularly enjoyed the Paella. The tour was supposed to be 3 hours but lasted close to 4 hours as we spent extra time shopping in the street markets and at the different stops. We also walked about 2 miles which made us feel less guilty about the amount we ate. We highly recommend this tour and if you take it towards the start of your time in Antigua you'll find places you'll probably want to return to.

I had never done a street food tour and was alittle reluctant, but my friend encouraged me from pervious travels. firstly, our guide OLGA GUZMAN was absolutely incredible. she not only brought us to off the beaten track places to eat typical and delicious food, but she was so knowledgeable about antigua and guatemala that we got a real tour of the town and understanding of the culture and country. food was great. be sure you try a "doctored" up gallo beer called cerveza picosita. hard to describe but a something really different. i loved it, my friend hated it, but you gotta give it a try.

Whatever you do, do not miss this gem of a tour! Having Olga show us around the city and introduce us to the local history, customs, people, and abundant food was a treat. You will not go hungry! We returned to every restaurant (upscale and hole in the wall) at least once during our stay. Olga speaks impeccable English and clearly lives with passion. She takes a sincere interest in her guests, is flexible to suit the needs of the tour and takes her time. We never felt like "tourists" following a guide. My 17 year old daughter who was not thrilled to embark on this organized activity, loved it! Olga, you rock!

I totally enjoyed the food tout guided by Olga. We were lucky to be alone in this tour as it was during Samana Santa right before Good Friday. The city was bustling which added to the attractions of the city. Olga walked us around for three hours giving us inside info on the food and stands of Antigua. I would never have tried the various foods and fruits on my own. We got a real insight of the city and all of its attributes. For $39 including food----it was a great value.

We visited Antigua on a cruise ship which means we only had one day to pack in as much as possible. We almost cancelled our tour as the cruise line we went on scared us with their repeated warnings not to eat anything in Guatemala as that is where the most passengers get sick. Luckily we did not listen. Eating local food and emerging in the local culture is the whole point of traveling and I am happy to report we did not get sick and tried everything!
Our guide was Olga and she was very nice and informative. Antigua is a hidden gem and we were not expecting to like the city as much as we did. There is no humidity in the city so weather was wonderful and the old ruins were charming and beautiful. I loved the hibiscus tea and trying unique fruits I have never seen or heard of at the local street market. Our favorite stop had to be at the ceviche food truck. We love ceviche and got to try Guatemala's version and it did not disappoint!
Olga even took me to a shop where local artisans sell their handmade items and I was able to buy affordable and beautifully made table runners. Be sure to save some time for shopping as you will find many shops offering unique locally made items. I was so happy to see many unique things instead of the standard tacky chachski shops that you usually find in tourist cities.
Antigua is a beautiful city and we will definitely be returning. Thanks to Olga and La Mesa for making the most of our day in the city!

Our family always loves doing food tours to orient ourselves to the city and learn the culture through out stomachs, and this was no exception! Ulga was our tour guide and she was fantastic! It was a great balance of history and eating, stopping at various places around the city to talk about significant landmarks and grab a bite of local fare. From trying exotic fruits in the market to eating ceviche roadside, theres no way we would have been able to find these places or foods without this tour!

I've been to Antigua a few times, but never done a food tour. This was great! Good selection and variety of foods which were all delicious. We got to know Antigua a little better as we navigated through the market and stopped at various historical sites. It was a really lovely relaxing way to get a taste of local cuisine and understand a bit more about the city. Great experience, good job!

You have to do it - taste delicious street food and discover the beautiful city center of Antigua! My favorite stop of the tour was the first place where you will get an enchilada/tostado - we've returned several times ;-)
