Excellent food, wine, and service!

Malvasija Wine Bar is a gem in the old town of Dubrovnik! We had a delicious red wine recommended by our server Igor and snacked on some appetizers, including a tasty bruschetta. The environment was cozy and inviting, and the service impeccable. Igor made us feel like lifelong friends as he welcomed us in and shared his wealth of knowledge about various wines and the local area. I would love to recommend this restaurant to future travelers—Igor was attentive and friendly, the best Sommelier we encountered; the location unbeatable, and the menu full of great selection.

Igor made the experience

My friend and I came here for what was supposed to be a quick glass of wine before going to another (what we thought would be nicer) bar. What actually ended up happening is we met Igor who not only recommend hands down the most incredible bruschetta this side of the Atlantic Ocean to us but also managed to school us in the art of wine. Not only was he very knowledgeable and friendly but he is a good conversationist while also spilling the secrets to what makes the food and wine amazing. We never meant to be there for more than 15 minutes but not only did we spend almost two hours there we walked away very happy, tipsy, and with a great memory. If you go to Dubrovnik’s Old City and don’t visit this wine bar you are doing yourself a huge disservice. Make sure you request Igor though!

Excellent wine and food

We found this place thanks to the Lonely Planet and we also completely recommend it! You will find Malvasija Wine Bar in a small street in the Old Town of Dubrovnik. The owner (and producer of all the products sold here: wine, tomatos for brucettas, olive oil) is. The white wine is excellent and very fruity without speaking of the ham and cheese (and we are French people speaking)😍
Go for it and you won’t regret it!!!

Great food, great wine, great staff!

Loved our visit here! Our waiter was so helpful, knowledgable and had good banter! The wine they produce themselves is beautiful and the food is delicious!!

A must visit in Dubrovnik!!

A nice place to try a collection of local wines

We dropped in on a whim, had a pleasant chat with the hostess about some of the wines we like - and don't like - and asked for recommendations. The hostess talked through some options, and gave us each a sample (red for me, white for my partner), which we both enjoyed, so she topped us up. After finishing those, we again chatted about their selection, and we tried two further wines, equally enjoyable.
We enjoyed the wine and the experience, and would certainly go back again.

Great spot to taste wine and local products

The owner was really nice, she explained all the wines we tried, where all the products we tried were from and talked about winery regions around dubrovnik and the best spots to visit. The food and wine were great quality, it is definitely a place to return!

Les vins français n'ont qu'à bien se tenir !

Petit bar à vin situé dans une ruelle au charme certain !
Le service quant à lui était excellent le tout enjolivé par de très bons conseils fournis par la belle Gerda ! La dite serveuse connaissait son sujet et nous le faisait ressentir avec passion et émotion. A travers le charme de son accent croate, une pointe d'exotisme s'y rajouta au grand plaisir de nos oreilles toutes ouïes.
A des prix très abordables, nous nous perdimes donc dans les effluves des vignobles croates et dans les douceurs des fromages locaux. Ainsi nous repartimes avec tout nos sens en éveil, l'odorat, l'ouïe, le goût ... Il ne manquait plus que la vue... Quoique... Ne vous ai-je pas déjà mentionné la belle Gerda ? L'adjectif utilisé ici pour la décrire n'est qu'un doux euphémisme...

PS : Ce message a été écrit au 5eme verre de la dégustation, en bref c'était SOLIDE.

This is a great little wine bar just off the Stradun. During our stay we went twice; first night we tasted the 3 wine sampler and the wine was so good we went back the next night for a bottle of the Malvasija and a platter. Gerda was a great host and very informative.

I loved this little wine bar. Gerda’s family own the winery and serve the beautiful wines in this cozy laneway bar. Perfect spot to share wonderful wine with friends and laugh and laugh.
