The museum is highly recommended, there are so many insights into the period of communism in Romania. Everyday life, politics, funny and also really hard to bear memories are presented very respectfully. Also take time to watch the film, it is worth it.

It was a nice exprience and I would reccomend it for other tourists to visit.
I'm glad I visited aince it was sort of part of my childhood. Even the bathroom had information about those times.

I recently visited the Museum of Communist Memories in Brașov and was deeply impressed by the experience. The museum manages to faithfully recreate the atmosphere and realities of life during the communist era through a vast collection of objects, texts, and photographs.
Each exhibit tells a story, and the carefully selected details helped me better understand daily life from that time. From clothing and toys to household items and food products, all these artifacts made me relive moments from the past and reflect on the changes our society has undergone.
The guides and explanations provided are very well documented, and the museum staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, patiently answering all questions. The overall atmosphere of the museum perfectly combines nostalgia with education, offering visitors of all ages an important history lesson.

Great museum! As someone who doesn't have a lot of background knowledge of communism, it was lovely to learn through the objects and the first-person narrative approach. The cafe with communist-era items was really fun as well. Would recommend!
