We went up on the cable car for the views of Brasov...it was ok.but could be so much better..was cheap enough. 35Lei return trip..
When you,arrive at the top there is a wooden shack sort of bar place with some seating opposite....
But it all needs a good tidy up and paint..... it could be alot nicer if they made the effort.....
For the price it was ok....

Nice little cable car ride. The views from the top are good but you have to walk a fair distance at the top to get those views. The walk to the top is somewhat tricky if you have the wrong pair of shoes.

Such a perfect little trip. Of course it can get crowded but its a tourist attraction. Waiting a little under 5 minutes to enter the cable car. There's a bar/ shop as you get off which is perfect if you want a drink after walking back from the viewpoint (it's quite steep) follow the path to the brasov sign which is perfect for photos. When you are finished you can carry on up the steps to another viewing point. Very beautiful, I visited twice (once in April and once september)

The Tâmpa cable car or Tâmpa Cable Car or Telecabina Tâmpa takes users to the local mountain of Brasov. The return ticket costs only 35 RON and the train runs daily except on Monday between 9:30 and 16:30. The 2 cabins have about 20 seats and the journey takes only 2.5 minutes. From the mountain you have a quite good view, but could be better. The paths and the mountain station have certainly seen better times.

If you go to Brasov in time it is worth the climb. There is usually a prequeue that can last an hour easily. Upstairs you have to take a small walk to get to the letters of BRASOV. That's the basics. In time you can investigate first what to go through. Take water in summer.

It's been a very hot summer day. There's a lot of climbing from Brasov until you reach the cable car park. The park's paths are nice but during summer vacations and tourist season you have to stay in line to board the cable car (telecabina). It took us a whole hour of waiting to get into the cable car and half an hour on our way back from Tampa. The slanted path from the cable car leading to the peak is gravel-covered. It is unsafe and even dangerous. An elder woman lost her balance and fell on the slippery gravel. An ambulance was summoned to evacuate her. Hopefully, site management will take the right action. The sight of the town and surroundings is breathtaking. I wonder if it's worth the effort of waiting in line for 90 minutes. Vehicles cannot park in the park area and we had to walk another 15 minutes under 35C degrees to the tennis courts' parking area.

Do be aware that the viewing platform is currently being knocked down. The journeys up and down were fine but it’s hard to see much without a substantial walk at the top

It’s true that it doesn’t seem very young this cable car (don’t wonder if safety rules are the order of the day!) but the climb is fast and the view impressive!
If you have time, choose to go down on foot (40 minutes), very nice trail!

Beautiful walk through the woods to enjoy a great view. Actually we climbed up there to take the picture next to the sign BRASOV (like Hollywood). A bit expensive for what it is, but avoid walking back. Path absolutely left to itself and in my opinion dangerous

Don’t do this. It’s a long wait to go up. There is a tired bar, a man selling cheap plastic toys, and a walk to a crumbling concrete viewpoint.

You can park at the bottom of the park on the street and walk up to the entrance of the cable car. Best to use a taxi or Uber. Walking around this area of Old Town is better anyway.

sorry I cannot help you we did not go on the Tampa but I believe you might find this information on line. Have a fab time and visit the favella - look up flavella as a search and pick up Jody - great guy and reasonable.
