La passeggiata sul lungomare è piacevole, intervallata da ristoranti e locali, arriva fino alla punta dove si trova la fortezza. Peccato solo per il traffico di auto sempre molto intenso.

Other than the honking of horns on the nearby road, or the frequent pestering of horse carriage drivers trying to save you from walking, walking along the Corniche is one of the few places a pedestrian can safely be in Egypt. Lots of families, teenagers, and others take advantage of this rare peaceful opportunity, and to gaze out on the Mediterranean.

Alessandria e uno dei posti al mondo che mi ha impressionato di più, è stato veramente un colpo di fulmine. la sua architettura Art Decò tropicale, per stile simile a Miami, luogo dove nasce, è veramente dirompente. Se non fosse cosi inquinata ci vivrei volentieri.

Набережная в Александрии (корниш) произвела хорошее впечатление. Увидели много красивых фасадов зданий, памятников, зеленых зон. Называют корниш еще улицей 26 июля. Архитектурный проект набережной разработан архитектором Пьетро Авоскани в 1870 году.

Alexandria está muito suja e mal-cuidada. Corniche é o calçadão central desenhado em 1870 por um arquiteto italiano. Fica perto da Cidadela de Qaitbay (antigo Farol de Alexandria).

C'est une très longue promenade qui longe la mer. Entre l'hôtel Cécil et le fort , il y a 2,5KM qui sont à mon avis les plus sympas car il y a foule, les petits vendeurs s'installent sur le trottoir pour y vendre nourriture et diverses choses. A part cela, pas grand chose d'autre.

Must visit place in Alexandria. You can see an amazing view of the sunset from the corniche side. There are several cafes and restaurants with sea views just take a rest there for a couple of hours and enjoy the view of the Mediterranean sea. The weather is very nice and I am always excited to come back again.

If you visit Alexandria, you should walk Corniche from the center to the edge (ex lighthouse).
We ve been in Alexandria during Ramadan this year ( April 2022) and as we walked this road we had the opportunity to see how local people celebrate Ramadan. After the sunset this road is full of people eating and drinking tea. It was the only time of the day that the main road was not full of cars and buses. Scenic view until you reach the lighthouse and walk all the way back. 🙂

Premetto di non essermi fermato molto sul lungomare di Alessandria quindi potrebbe essere un giudizio solo parziale. Credo comunque si possa fare molto di più per esaltare questa parte di città. Innanzitutto è proprio a ridosso di una delle strade più trafficate tra smog e clacson continui. Tanti palazzi che vi si affacciano sono piuttosto decadenti e stonano con altri antichi ma ben curati o con quelli più moderni. Ma questo potrebbe essere anche il bello perché contraddistingue una città che sa di Europa e Africa. Non certo bene la sporcizia dilagante.
