The Wazir Khan Hamman reminded me of the old Iranian hammams, as far as architectural style is concerned. It could do with further refurbishing, because it does have amazingly beautiful frescoes on its walls that should be highlighted.

Best place of the Golder era. This place reminds me of all stories of the Mughals eras. This place is the mixer of all creative and architectural work. highly recommended.

Хаммам Шахи был построен в 1635 году Илам-уд-дином Ансари, губернатором Лахора, как часть комплекса мечети Вазир Хан. Бани вышли из употребления к XVIIIв во время упадка и падения Империи Великих Моголов.
С раннего британского периода здание использовалось для разных целей - как начальная школа, амбулатория и центр отдыха, а также офис местного муниципалитета. Кроме того, в северный, западный и южный фасады здания были встроены магазины.

Looking at the amazing duct work required to service the hammam, it is awe inspiring. How wonderful it must have been to experience the cool areas and the hot areas. Such a wonderful place!

Shahi Hammam is one of the treasure of great old walled city, recently restored by Agha Khan trust. The Hammam is accessible through Dehli Gate by walk. The Royal Baths ( Shahi Hammam) are excellent piece of heritage from Mughal era. we visited the Hammams with our foreigner friends from Portugal and they love the place.

Shahi or Royal Hamam is accessible from Delhi gate in old Lahore, greatly restored by Agha Khan trust and Norwegian govt, it gives you a rare inside of the lives of the Mughal emperors of the past,build by shah Jahan physcian Wazir Khan,

ムガール帝国時代のハマム。身分の高い人向けだったのか、内装がゴージャス。ラホールのスポットには珍しく、順路や説明(蒸気がどこで作られハマムの中を巡るのかなど)が書かれた案内板があり、観光客向けに手入れ、整備されていた。

Until very recently, the hammam was invisible. It consisted of some dusty, nondescript old shops. The Aga Khan Foundation and its civil society partners have done a magnificent job. They have uncovered a beautifully preserved hammam (one of dozens that used to exist in Lahore, and apparently the only one still remaining).
The hammam cleverly reveals some amazing and profoundly surprising Mughal era frescos (which looked European/Greek to my untutored eye) and, in so doing, did a superb job of showing how the hammam heated and channeled hot water and steam to its eager patrons in the mid 1600s. Like the Wazir Khan Mosque closeby, the hammam was built by the eponymous Mughal governor of Lahore. It is well worth a visit. If you are there at dusk, be sure to check out the massive ancient tree in the courtyard, glittering with orange fairy lamps. The restaurant wasn’t open when I visited. If it was, it would make a sweet, soulful place to spend some time soaking up the place.
God bless the people responsible for bringing Lahore’s past back to life. History matters, and it is only through seeing, touching, and tasting the past that we can challenge today’s ignorant or malicious populists who all too often pervert and twist history to justify their sometimes hate-filled and intolerant agendas.

Visitors are mixing Shahi Hammam with Wazir Khan Hammam considering them as two different attractions. In fact, both are the same. The TripAdvisor ranked Shahi Hammam #40 of 123 things to do in Lahore while Wazir Khan Hammam #11 of 123 things to do in Lahore, and the reviews of these two should be combined as one, and do the necessary corrections/amendments in their record.
