De waterval stond droog in maart, er was dus weinig te zien. Maar het boottochtje er naar toe over de Mekong was reuze leuk.

Nice easy hike to main falls with beautiful views of lower falls along the way. Even passed a bear rehab/conservation area. Short, paved exit path to end.

Unfortunately Tad Thong Waterfall was looking sad and unloved when I visited. Toilet paper littered the start of the trail and on edge of water pools. The trail is in a pretty bad state and in some parts I think is close to sliding away. Clearly nobody is doing a sweep to check for rubbish or basic maintenance etc. When I visited the restaurant was closed for food but sold water.
In December the water level was low. And you definitely need mossie spray, they were plentiful and angry.
Felt sad for Tad Thong. But despite all the negatives there was a magical air about the place... Hence I give it a 2 not a 1.

If you've done most of what there is worth doing around Luang Prabang then this is a good little afternoon adventure. This is our second time in LP so we jumped on a scooter and bumped and grinded along a windy gravel road off the main road to the entrance to Tad Thong. The sign on the main road is not clear so have your google maps ready and eyes peeled. There's a cruddy restaurant at the entrance to the park and a bloke will charge you 20k Kip pp. Then you trudge along and up a very poorly maintained concrete path for about 45 mins approx. There are times when you question if it's all worth it. We eventually found the 'waterfall' which isn't much to write home about. You can take a shortcut straight down which is only 10 mins. In the end it was a nice experience for an hour so walking through the Laos jungle and we were literally the only ones there!

sono tante pozze di acqua. si cammina , risalendo accanto a queste pozze dai colori bellissimi. si puo anche fare il bagno e tuffarsi lanciandosi con una corda

トレッキングほどの準備もなしに楽しめる気軽な場所。満水の時期でもそれほどの迫力は無いが、小さい魚がたくさん泳いでいて癒されます。

We enjoyed a wonderful day at the waterfalls swimming and relaxing. A bonus was the walk through the bear sanctuary. We watched them playing washing and generally having a good time safe from poachers. Excellent lunch and one of the local restaurants. We hired and driver and car for the day $50 which prove great value, we could move at our leisure.. excellent driver as were most.. a real change from Vietnam.

On chemine dans un grand parc ou l'on découvre au fur et à mesure les cascades qui se succèdent. Des ours au début de la visite. De jolies fleurs tropicales. Évitez le dimanche après midi ou beaucoup de gens viennent profiter de la fraîcheur de l'eau

Es ist schon ein Erlebnis diese Gegend zu besichtigen. Was gemacht worden ist, um eine bessere Besichtigung zu ermöglichen, hat, meiner Meinung nach, die Natur nicht angegriffen.
