This is a pretty little Wat on a peaceful, quiet street in the Old Quarter of Luang Prabang. It is in a pleasant compound with a pretty garden and small monastery attached and has a lovely, intimate feeling about it. The steps of the Wat are flanked by some splendid multi headed serpents. I think they're called Nagas.

Visited here on our second day in Luang Prabang and we both marvelled at the amazing work around creating this beautiful temple, worth a visit

씨앙텅 사원의 서쪽 문에서 이어지는 길로 계속 서쪽 왕궁 방향으로 가면 거의 중간에 있는 곳이다. 1729년에 건립되었지만 이후 여러 수난을 거쳐 근세에 들어 현재와 같이 재건되었다. 인근의 왓 쎈보다는 덜 알려져 있기는 하지만 그래서인지 조용하면서도 한편으로는 다소 화려한 모습 역시 보이는 곳이기도 하다. 특히 북쪽 벽의 검은 탑에도 대표성이 있어 보인다.

I came across this temple on the first day of my trip in Luang Prabang when I was walking around the streets to familiarize myself with the area. It is a quiet, peaceful and beautiful temple and since this was the first of the many Wats I visited, I almost immediately was in awe of its beauty and grandeur. The decoration on the walls and doors were exquisite. I couldn't go inside since I went at noon, but I just strolled around in the compound and it was beautiful.

This was quick to visit in the town, wasn’t open inside for tourists as was locked, you can walk around, nice to take pictures and enjoy the craftsmanship.

シーサワンウォン通りから1本北のメコン川寄りのKounxoau Rd, に入ってホテルに帰ります。
ワット ノーンシッホンムアンはサッカリン通りと平行に走るクンスワー通りにある寺院です。
托鉢はここも通るそうです。

2018年10月に行きました。
ルアンパバーンの中心街にあるお寺です。メインのサッカリン通りから一本入った通りにあるため、観光客の姿も少なく静かです。無料で見学できるお寺で、金色の装飾が鮮やかです。ガイドブックに載っていませんがおススメです。
