You can find traditional stores there to buy local products and souvenirs; however, it is a dirty street. I saw at least 3 people throwing their rubbish on the street. It is disappointing!

キングアブドゥルアジズ通りとアルダハブ通りを結ぶQabel TrailにあるQabel Street Souq通りの両サイドがアーケード街になっており、ジッダのスークの中ではヨーロッパ的な趣のあるスークでもある。

This is part of the Old Jeddah area and contains a number of shops and stalls selling various kinds of products. IF you've seen markets anywhere else in the world then you might not find this particularly inspiring. But if you're already in the Old Jeddah area then there's no harm to also check out this part.

Once upon a time gabel street was the only commercial for business in the city of jeddahlocated in the old city.

Historical Gems of Jeddah

Gabel Street Souq is marked as Qabel Trail on Google Maps. The souq starts at the Al Amoudi Exchange building and from then on you'll go through a long passage lined with old style shops. There are alleys dotting the passage.

If you go deeper you'll find historical gems like Nassief House and Al Matbouli House. Al Matbouli House was built in 1022H meaning that it is 418 years old! Al Shafie Mosque was reputedly built 1,000 years ago!!

Refresh yourself with freshly pressed sugar cane drinks. There were 2 that I found - one just across Al Dhahab Street and another in front of Al Matbouli House.

In terms of shopping to be honest there isn't much to buy unless you are into traditional perfumery and attires on top of low quality imported goods. However the atmosphere is excellent, especially during Ramadan evenings.

هنا تشم عبق التاريخ وبساطة الماضي ، وأنت تهدي الخطى ذهابا وإيابا بين مكونات هذا المرفق الحيوي ، فمنه تنطلق بذكريات الماضي الموغل في القدم لترسم صورة عن انسان جدة في ماض تولى

من أراد المشي ورؤية العالم من كل بقع العالم يمشون بجواره فليأتِ إلى هذا المكان ! .. هنا ستجد نفسك محاطاً بالآخرين ازداحم الناس .. ضوضاء الشارع .. صياح الباعة .. الغني والفقير .. العربي وغير العربي .. كلهم هنا مجتمعون
