Make it a priority to visit

I was in town for a short visit during National Day weekend and was looking for a unique local activity. Overjoyed the timing worked out when the camels were racing. More camels than you could count and endless photo opportunities.

Deprioritize the endless malls and touristy activities and make a trip out to the complex...it's such a unique regional experience.

Easily accessible via Uber (or rental car) from the city and free entry and parking. I highly recommend a visit.

Take the time to go see the camel races here

We wanted to see the races and were impressed. We were lucky as 5 countries were on hand for the races. There must have been 1000+ camels. We went to the stands which had close circuit TV's so you could watch the whole race as it is quite long. There were free soft drinks and snacks. There were only a couple other people in the stands. Then we went over to the other section and mingled with the camels and handlers. Everyone was friendly and it was one of the best things we did in Dubai. A must do if in Dubai. It is FREE.

Definitely an experience!

An interesting experience of a bit of culture away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai the city. Plenty of action around the circuit, and not so many tourists. Felt more like a car race than camel race with all the supporting vehicles alongside the track! You can get up close to the camels pre and post race and the locals really get in to it and everyone was super friendly.

A NE PAS MANQUER !

Facile d'accès en louant une voiture sans passer des tours où on vous colle des tas de trucs. C'est très impressionnant comme course de chameaux - enfin ce qui est impressionnant c'est surtout le public et plus particulièrement les propriétaires de chameaux qui suivent comme des fous avec leur 4x4 la course pour encourager les animaux. A voir absolument pour l'ambiance.

Camel race is a lovely place. I used to enjoy working there and see the camel's events. I was part of the developer team that created their internal website.

Al marmoon heritage festival

W czasie mojego pobytu w dubaju miałam szczęście trafić na Al Marmoon heritage Festival. Dojazd komunikacja miejska jest możliwy, powrót do Dubaju trochę bardziej skomplikowany (trzeba przebiec do przystanku przez autostrade także wypad z dziećmi odradzam).
Wspaniała impreza, darmowy poczęstunek, niesamowite emocje w czasie wyścigów. Polecam

Camel racing is a must watch traditional sports of UAE which is centuries-old tradition across the Arabic peninsula, camel racing continues to thrive as a formal sport with the Dubai Camel Racing Club being the hub of all such races and one of the most coveted race track in all of UAE is the Al Marmoom Racing Track

Были 8 февраля,гонки проводятся в 7 и в 14:30(первые заканчиваются в 10:45).каждый круг длится минут 13,затем новые верблюды.При встрече дают ланч с едой и воду или сок,также чай с молоком,все абсолютно бесплатно.Также ходит туристический автобус ,который следует за верблюдами всю гонку ,также бесплатно,находится где стартуют верблюды.
Мы приехали к утру,за все время никаких туристов кроме нас не было😂,наверное далеко добираться,достаточно холодно,поэтому взять тёплые вещи.
Теперь о том,где лучше наблюдать за гонками.В начале вас приведут на трибуну,там стоит телевизор,видно финиш,но лучший вид будет если перейти на другую сторону и подняться на наземный переход.Туда съезжаются все эмираты на соревнования,можно сфотографироваться с верблюдами.
ПРОЕЗД-самый главный минус бесплатной достопримечательности.Скачки находятся на отшибе,за такси отдали 100 дирхам в одну сторону, обратно есть остановка,точнее столб с расписанием автобуса,который ходит раз в два часа.Кругом пустырь и стройка, а главный сюрприз-НИГДЕ нет перехода к этой остановки на ближайшие 15 км с обоих сторон.Поэтому тупо нужно перебегать три сплошные,чисто идёт трасса с нереальным разгоном машин.Походу с этой остановки вообще никого не забирают,видели бы лицо водителя ,который увидел на пустыре людей.
Внизу прикрепляю расписание автобуса, расписание можно найти в гугле(в строку вбиваете camel racing club и новости, на видео будет все сказано).

Great Experience!

Great experience. I recommend everyone to carve out half a day to attend this sporting and cultural event followed by all the United Arab Emirates. In the middle of the desert you will watch the races from sunrise to sunset but even more so at the back stage that animates these events.
