“Great beach”

Just an average beach to me

Maybe my travels have made me a bit blasé about things, but to me this was just a strip of sand in not that great a setting - large and ugly hotel buildings are the backdrop. Yes you are at the Pacific Ocean and you can see some seals on the rocks further down but didn't have any kind of wow factor for me. Sorry!

Good sighting of waves and boats

When I went the waves were immense. I've never seen waves this big. Many times they hit the wall and wet themselves into the street.

It is a good place to go to see the sunrise/sunset. Also on the coast there are many boats because the port is close

It is very nice to walk around (as long as there are no storm surges).
Now you have one more additive, which is the Wheel, from there you have a spectacular view of the sea, Marga Marga estuary, El Casino...

It is no longer a pleasant walk... It is saturated with itinerant, screaming, aggressive, Chilean/foreigner Cuneteros... They feel they own the "landscape"...

My opinion and memories of Avenida Perú.

Avenida Perú is a wonderful place and ideal for sport , connect with nature and transit .

I haven't been around the sector for a long time, but I've always considered it an ideal geographical area to share and have relaxation moments

In fact, my ex-school (Litttle Flowers of Wisdom, located in 5 north, in front of IGlesia Carmelitas and closed in 1,999l, was close to Avenida Perú, with ex-companions), we used to walk there and in the 90s.

That he would not return to an unforgettable phase and that he will never return.

A Special Experience

Strolling down Avenida Peru is a special experience as you’re surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, clear blue skies, rocky beaches, prominent buildings and people just having fun. It’s busy but also serenely calming even with the squawking birds, traffic and having to avoid the joggers.

Nice pedestrian area

We has some time to stroll Avenida Peru while touring around Valpo. It's not far from the city and offers nice views of the harbor and beach. There are a number of hotels and nice looking restaurants in the area. It's quite a bit cleaner than downtown Valpo.
