Good and cheap.
Whenever you are in Vina del mar, it is worth a tour of the Fonck Museum.
Right at the entrance there is an original Mohai statue, mandatory stop for photos.
Inside the museum, a wide variety of artifacts native to the ancient peoples.
The change is not too big no. You can get to know in a short time. It's worth it.

The Fonk Museum is simply amazing! Its collection of archaeological artifacts offers a deep dive into the culture and history of the region. The exhibitions are well organized and informative, making the visit educational and fascinating. A must-see tour for those who visit Viña del Mar and have an interest in history and culture!

The museum, although small, is very complete and with a very special fit. The bottom part is dedicated to the Mapuche and origin of Easter Island. There are videos aimed at children who tell the story in a more playful way. On top, animals and insects typical of Chile. The main point, undoubtedly, is the Moai that lies on the outside. Only outside Easter Island! A treasure from Viña del Mar.

A lot of archaeological material from our ancestors, a lot from the Diaguita, Rapanui and Mapuche culture. There is the oldest Mapuche club in Chile, highly recommended.

Recently visited thus museum while in Vima Del Mar. Such a beautiful area. Also explains about the statues on easter island. Highly recommended!

We visited this museum as part of a tour in Valpo. We had an english speaking guide so he explained what we were seeing. I did notice that quite a few of the exhibits had a description in english. The exhibits are interesting and well displayed, relating to the history of Chile and indigenous people. The upstairs displays include insects and wildlife.
This is worth visiting.

Smallish but nice museum. First floor very interesting information about history and culture of the people of Chile. English translation is inconsistent at exhibits but Google picture translate worked great. Second floor has some good information about animals found in Chile and in general. Well worth a visit.

It's a small museum, but very interesting! Located in a very pleasant neighborhood, it has pieces from pre-Columbian and Polynesian history and a small natural history collection. Furthermore, at its entrance, there is an original moai statue that is worth observing! It's a cheap trip and well worth it! The only negative point was the absence of a guide who could inform us in greater detail about some of the museum's curiosities!

A entrada para visitar o Museo Fonck e paga (4000 CLPO por pessoa) mas vale cada centavo. Na parte de baixo tem a parte de história natural dos povos originários do Chile e também da Ulha de Páscoa. Na parte superior tem os ambientes com história natural onde estão expostos vários espécimes embalsamados da fauna local.
Defronte o Museo tem uma escultura Moai (Rapá Nui) trazida da Ilha de Páscoa.

Não é um museu muito grande, mas tem uma boa coleção de artefatos dos povos nativos, e uma seção sobre história natural com diversas espécies da região (e algumas de fora da região). Vale a pena visitar.
