A wonderful experience to see Elvin Bishop . Out in New Castle, California, Constable Jacks Blues club was very parallel to Callahans. They too had to close after 12 years . I was the full time sound man before joining Elvin Bishop . Sad to see these two venues close .

Closed. I went here on a Friday. They were selling everything from inside the place. Weather they are permanently closed, I don't know.

There will be a culinary school on this site soon. Callahan's is now closed. Great to see Johnny Winter as the associated photo. Sadly, he's "closed", too. RIP Callahan's & Johnny.

After being closed for months Callahan's Music Hall is again open for business. I've been to a couple shows since they reopened and it is every bit as good as it ever was. The place is small, the waitstaff really hustles, and the acts are first rate.

This was the "go to" spot for great music in a smaller venue, but they sadly closed up at the end of March 2018. Saw many great artists here over the years. Farewell Callahan's and thanks for the memories!

This is a small venue that allows everyone an intimate relationship with the performer. Most of the people in the audience are older, so one has to wonder why is the sound sooooooooooooo loud. The performers wear ear protection and if you attend with any regularity I would recommend it. Food is average to below. I think the oil used to cook the fries is OLD! I found it interesting that you could charge your drinks and food but not the cover charge at the door. Is this a tax angle so cash is not reported? Anyways, just received a notice that this venue is closing in a few months so if you want the experience go now not later.

We've been to Callahans many times since it opened about 8 years ago. They usually have some terrific bands playing and the resident sound guy does a fantastic job. The tickets are reasonable and the (limited) food has gotten a lot better than the early days. Here's the but, the bathrooms are terrible, a real dump and not clean. The drinks are pricey and the mix for drinks is a rip off. Drink selection is very limited. The service on the other hand is pretty good and the staff are friendly. The rating is limited by the condition of the facilities and drink price to quality ratio. If you love rocking blues music, you have to go but why do we blues fans have to put up with dives? What became of George & Harry's in Dearborn?

We came to see the tribute to Etta James. It was fantastic. The bands guitar player toured with her for 25 years. 4 different singers, one at a time. I also saw the Rolling Stones Impersonators years ago and they too were excellent! Not a bad seat in the house!

Not too big, not too small, everything is Just Right!
Waitresses are great.
Plenty of seating, both close to the stage and set back a bit depending on your preferences.

Stopped in to see Jimmy Thackery - we weren't sure what to expect as we had never been to this venue. It was great! All tables provide an excellent view of the stage, sound was great. Waitresses took good care of us and the bar was close for self serve. Only downside was cab service to get back to the hotel 3 miles away - no one wanted to come to this location since it's a little away from the main city. Thanks so much to the management for not leaving us stranded!! Next time we'll either drive to the venue or arrange transport in advance. We're planning our next visit!
