Awesome Khmer Culture Experiences

Culture combo tour - What a cultural experience and Danny is amazing. I loved how we are always a small group tour while travelling around in a khmer tuk tuk visiting many different experiences. You never know what you will encounter, and the breakfast market food tour was awesome. The best part was that the food we ate was gluten-free. We had a fun day learning about Khmer culture and meeting many Khmer people. The level of skills displayed with the artists and seeing them work was a delight. Come to Siem Reap, Cambodia, and experience more than just the beautiful Temples. I have experienced many tours, but I can always experience Bee's Unlimited tours again and again A definite must do when visiting Siem Reap.

The experience of a lifetime.

We went on Dani’s tour in Siem Reap and the surrounding countryside, four adults and four kids aged between 7 and 11. It is one of the most memorable and amazing things we have ever, ever done. Dani and his tuk tuk driver collected us around 0715 and we took us on the most fantastic tour of “real” Cambodia, from local markets, monasteries, local communities, stone carving, and many street food outlets, plus a whole heap more. Dani is an expert and a font of knowledge on everything about the local area, and also speaks the language. He has built up an amazing rapport with local people, communities, and vendors, which allows his clients a unique insight into the local culture and way of life. We’re already planning our next tour. If you only have time to do one activity in Siem Reap, please make sure it’s this one. Dani’s tour was absolutely outstanding and he is friendly, knowledgeable, reliable, and accommodating. Plus it’s very reasonably priced too.

Another fantastic day with Danny

We spent a day with Danny in 2015 and returned to Siem Reap this summer and the first booking for us was another day with Danny. We spent the day exploring the local villages with a strong food, crafts and culture theme. I won’t ruin any surprises but it’s fair to say it’s the best way explore the outskirts of Siem Reap. A wonderful guide - not to be missed!!!

Fabulous for a break from temple tours

Dani delivered such a fun tour. Our morning started out with breakfast and a tour through the wet markets in Siem Reap (do be sure to come on an empty stomach), after that, you head out to the countryside. What you will see, taste, and experience will all depend on who's around in the village and what they're selling on the day.

You might drop by the monastery to hear some sutras, try your hand at rolling incense, do some cupping, visit a stone carver, or more. This is real Cambodian village life and it's a refreshing change from clambering over temples all day.

The tour is especially fun for kids as there is so much variety they never get bored and it's a lifestyle that - if your kids are like mine - western children won't be so familiar with.

Dani is a wonderful guide; informative, responsive, and he has a great rapport with you as a client, but also with the villagers who clearly know him well.

I really enjoyed the variety of food we tried. It's also local, cooked right in front of us and with a focus on vegetarian - which I really appreciated.

All in all this was a wonderful tour, super fun, and a highlight of our trip.

A once in a life chance to see the real Cambodia

Dani is amazing and his tours are incredible. It’s like having an uncle on the ground! Dani is so genuine and open, the tourists see it and so too do the locals we meet along the way. Dani’s kindness opens doors, quite literally, we were welcomed into peoples homes like we were extended family and able to see and experience Cambodia in a way that I’m sure few tourists get too. The food we had along the way was a real treat, a change to taste some amazing local treats.

Unique and memorable day!

We booked combo tour and had an amazing day with Dani. Very unique and honest way of learning about everyday life in Cambodia. Lots of yummy food to eat!!!
We had our 6 year old son with us and I think it was extremely valuable experience for him. He loved the whole tour. We highly recommend any tour with Dani. We hope to see him again when we'll visit Cambodia next time.

What a great experience!!

Our family of 6 (with young kids) had a fantastic trip with Dani seeing the sights and sounds of Siem Reap on the combo tour! A really unique experience which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Dani was great with the kids and they really loved the ride as much as the destinations. I highly recommend this!!

Perfect tour for authentic unique tour of real Cambodia

Danis tours should be on your list of ‘don’t leave Siam Reap without doing this’. In fact, I don’t regard this as a tour, more an experience . I want all of you who are visiting this wonderful place to put this in your travel plans. We were a family group (2 adults, 3 kids aged 8, 10 & 12). Dani is so easy going, knowledgeable and passionate about his home town of nearly 30 years. We had one of the best times we’ve experienced in all our travels (of which we’ve had many). We did the combo tour and that it was. Hammocks on the tuk tuks helped to keep our younger ones happy when they get hot and bothered. It was the perfect balance of food and local experiences. Even our very conservative eaters tried new foods and embraced many lovely new encounters along the way. I won’t spoil it with details as it is the journey along the way that makes it. Dani is a lovely man with lots of knowledge and interesting stories. You won’t regret doing this .

Faszinierender, eindrucksvoller Ausflug

Wir haben uns kurzfristig bei Dani gemeldet, weil wir wegen Covid nicht wussten, ob wir unsere Reise nach Kambodscha überhaupt antreten können.
Er hat sehr schnell auf mein Mail reagiert und uns am Vorabend im Hotel getroffen.
Wir haben die Combo Tour gemacht und liessen uns überraschen. Zuerst gingen wir auf den Markt, da gab es alles, von Fleisch (inkl. Schlangen und Frösche) zu Früchten. Danach fuhren wir aufs Land und besuchten eine Pagoda.
5 junge Mönche chanteten für uns, nach reiflicher (interner 🤔😏) Besprechung, welcher Chant passen könnte. Sehr eindrücklich!
Nachher ging es weiter.
Teilweise waren die Familien, die wir besuchten, nicht zu Hause, also gingen wir ein Haus weiter. Das machte es auch sympathisch, nichts schien wirklich geplant, einiges spontan, die Leute sind es auf Grund der Pandemie auch nicht mehr gewohnt, Besuche von Westlern zu haben.
Was auffiel: die Menschen empfingen uns überall mit offenen Armen, waren extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Sie können auch über ein Missgeschick oder auch sonst über sich oder über uns lachen. Das tut gut zu erleben.
Was alles haben wir erlebt?
Marktbesuch, Palmzuckerherstellung, Schröpfen (alle 5 von uns liessen sich am Rücken schröpfen). Tuktuk Fahrten übers Land, Wasserbüffel, gegrillte Frösche, Korbflechten, Steinmetz, Mango"leder", Reisschnapsherstellung, Einblick in den oberen Stock eines typischen kambodschanischen Hauses (ohne Matratzen wird geschlafen! ).
Zum Zmittag machten wir einen Stopp, und es gab eine Art Omelette und eine Vorspeise, leider habe ich die Namen vergessen) - für ca. 6 Dollar für uns 5 Personen und es hat phantastisch geschmeckt.
Dani ist ein perfekter Guide, nie aufdringlich, erklärt auf Anfrage gerne, weiss viel und kennt die Bevölkerung, sehr sympathisch! Die Fahrer fuhren umsichtig, wir haben Danis Neffen einen Tag später für eine Tempeltour gebucht, auch das verlief tiptop.
Unser ganze Familie (5 Erwachsene, erweiterte Familie) war begeistert und empfiehlt Bees Unlimited als Geheimtipp für Alle, die das Spezielle, den Kontakt und die Nähe zu der lokalen Bevölkerung suchen. Wunderbar!!
