We went to Cambodia 3 years ago - just before covid - and had Sarak as our guide. When we went back this year Sarak had to be our guide again and we had him for 2 days. We visited Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon, Ta Prohm, Kampong Phluk, Fishing village, Market, School and Buddhist Monastery. Sarak's knowledge is second to none - he explains the stories behind the carvings in the temple stones and is obviously proud of his country's history and enjoys sharing it with you. He also knows some of the best places for taking some fantastic photos.
A word of warning - if he takes you to the rice moonshine farm, don't go on an empty stomach, it's lethal!
I have some friends who are thinking of doing a similar trip in the future and would not hesitate in recommending Sarak as their guide.
Thanks again Sarak for making our holiday a truly memorable one.

I can highly recommend that you use Sarak as your guide when in Cambodia. His knowledge about the Angkor Wat temples is second to none. He goes above and beyond what you would expect of any other guide I have used. He also knows all the best places to take photographs, and he also takes fantastic photos himself. He actually showed my friend how to properly use the camera he’s had for 3 years Please if you go to Angkor Wat use Sarak for the best possible experience.

We had the great pleasure of touring the temples and countryside of Siam Reap with Sarak. Even though we just completed the tour in late February our journey with Sarak started back in 2020. We had booked this tour back then and then COVID brought all tourism to a crashing halt.
Jump ahead to the fall of 2022, the world is opening up for travel and we start planning all over again. We contacted Sarak to rebook the trip and he was able to do so and at the price of 2020 booking. He worked with us online to customize our tour. He kept in touch with us to confirm everything was all still on track, as we were travelling throughout Thailand.
He arranged to pick us up at the airport and met us at our hotel. There we once again went over the details, tweaking as required. In total we had three full days of Temple touring and one day of countryside adventures.
What we really want the world to know is how dedicated to Sarak is to his craft and the history and culture of his homeland. The amount of historical information in his head is mind boggling. We were taught so much in our short time with him.
In all we toured 12 temples over three days - should have 13, but we tossed one aside - we were too hot and too tired. They were Angkor Thom, Bayon, Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Banteay Srey, Vanteay Samre, Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Ta Nei, Preah Ko, Bakong, Bang Mealea, Chaw Srei Vibol. One day was spent touring the local countryside. This included a visit to a small local farm, a small scale mushroom production, and a rice moonshine distillery. After that we headed down the river to visit the people that live in the floating houses on Tonle Sap the Great Lake.
We would recommend Sarak, because of his passion for history and Cambodia. He’s just a great guy to tearless around with.

I spent 2 wonderful days with Nuon Chansarak. He showed me in a private tour all the importante temples around Siem Reap. 1st day: Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Chau Say Tevoda, Ta Nei, Ta Prohm and on 2nd day: Preah Khan, Neak Poan, East Mebon, Banteay Samre and Banteay Srei.
He knows all the historical details and history and all legends and stories with Hinduism & Buddhism gods and religion. He is a really good storyteller and it isn't boring to hear all the details. He linked the stories with the different temples and the appropriate rock carvings.
The driver drove us safely from temple to temple. Back in the vehicle he was waiting for us with water and refreshing towels.
We had Lunch in local Restaurants. The food was delicious!
I am happy and satisfied that I could do the two tours with Sarak. I am very happy to recommend him!

Sarak was recommended to us by someone who had travelled to Siem Reap pre-pandemic and we're so grateful for the recommendation. He's very patient and knowledgeable and we learnt such a great deal from him about the country's rich history (most of our own had been confined to the late twentieth- and twenty-first century). We had experienced some trouble with purchasing tickets online and Sarak drove us to the ticket office to pick them up and the process was seamless. We did a one-day tour with Sarak, which included the Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, Bayon, and more. Sarak speaks excellent English and is really knowledgeable about the cultural and religious history of the various places we visited. The trip was comfortable and pleasant, and it was great not to have to worry about transport. Definitely recommending him to others who intend to visit Siem Reap.

I had done the temple tours including sunrise with Sarak back in November last year. For this Siem Reap visit Sarak suggested Kulen Mountain, Elephant Pond, waterfall, 1000 lingas and Reclyning Buddha. Had to get up early and we left at 6.30 am. Was a fantastic motorbike ride with driver crossing jungle and sand (no path for cars) to the Elephant Pond with animal statues from the 9th century. Going there was worth every minute on the motorbike. We saw the waterfall, the 1000 lingas and ended at the Reclyning Buddha before we headed back to Siem Reap. A fantastic day, we took a lot of pictures and I enjoyed every minute.

My friend and I were in Siem Reap for three days and we took a guided tour with Sarak for one of the days. He was a wonderful tour guide - very knowledgeable and super friendly. He explained the history of the temples, the meaning behind many of the carvings, and the culture of Cambodia. He also help us with the planning of our next day and found us a reliable driver to take us to the temples further away. I would highly recommend his tour to anyone visiting Siem Reap!

Had a wonderful day visiting the temples with a small party group of 7 in the expert hands of our tour guide ‘Sarak’ and the bus driver.
Always with a smile to answer any questions posed, his knowledge of the Khmer history and insight into Cambodian life was a delight.
Highly recommend to friends and would request if ever in the region again.

We chose Sarak because of the reviews on here. We could not have made a better choice, he was fantastic. He met us at our hotel in Phnom Penh and took us to the Killing Fields and S21 which we have to say are traumatic places to visit but are a must see while in Phnom Penh. He then drove us from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap stopping on the way at a little known temple site called Sambor Prey Kuk this was awesome. He also took us to see a 12th century bridge that was beautiful. On arrival at Siem Reap he dropped us off at our hotel. In the morning he took us to Angkor Wat... his knowledge of the temples there is impressive and he will take some fantastic photos for you. Throughout our tour with him he chose the food we ate which was delicious and took us to places off the tourist trails and they were fantastic too. I highly recommend that you use Sarak..... if you do please say to him Upstairs thinking and downstairs dancing and also Smiles on faces he will know who has recommended him.

I booked the tour through app and met with Mr. Chansarak as our guide. This was my second day tour to Ang Kor Wat. My first day tour was to floating village and with an incompetent guide. So, I was worried my second day tour will be wasted like 1st one. But I was totally wrong. Sarak is a great guide. He is very friendly (all guides in siem reap are friendly actually) but knowledgeable, professional, patient and good at photo taking too . I’ve been in Siem Reap a couple of days and did not know who will be the guide for my tours as I booked all my tours through app. So I met with couples of good guides. Sarak is the best guide in siem reap I had ever met. The driver’s (forgot to ask his name) always ready with cool wet towels and drinking water each time we returned to the vehicle. Thanks for your great service, sarak.
