We found a tuk tuk driver called Hai on trip advisor and decided to engage him. He gave us tours around small & big circuit (inclusive of sunrise and sunset) for the cheapest price we could find. He had a map and showed us where to go (He's also flexible to add in a few more stops where we wanted). He dropped us off at one side of the attraction and picked us up at the other to save us walking back.
Bonus: From our experience, we felt very safe riding on his Tuk-Tuk. Hai is very careful on the road and he doesn't speed. He's always on the lookout for other riders too (Cambodia traffic can be quite disorganised because their aren't many traffic lights).

you can easily get into a tuk tuk anywhere in cambodia. it is very affordable and the drivers are mostly can speak a moderate english. the fares usually charged in USD as most of the transaction is cambodia are in USD.

What a great place. Amazing culture and friendly people. Hired a Tuk Tuk taxi for the day at very reasonable price. Driver was happy to take us around the ancient sites

Very reliable and friendly guy to take you around the temples, always on time and follow your itinerary with ever-smiling face. We highly recommend him and will definitely take his help on our next trip.

We found information about Hai through here, on trip advisor. A lot of people recommended him so we decided to try his service. Hai gave the lowest price amongst all those I contacted. I told him where we wanted to go and he followed our itinerary. We hired him for the whole day, sunrise to sunset but we finished early. :) He was always smiling and he was very friendly. Sono stato a Siem Reap a fine Agosto per 3 giorni con moglie e figlio, mi sono affidato a questa agenzia per il noleggio del tuk tuk che ci ha preso all'aeroporto in perfetto orario, ci ha portati per due giorni a visitare tutti i siti da noi richiesti e ci ha riportato in aeroporto per la partenza, autista gentile e fidato, puntuale agli orari da noi richiesti e prezzi onesti, insomma, potete stare tranquilli.

저는 씨엠입 두번 갔었는데, 처음은 친구랑 둘이 3일간 툭툭이 이용했고, 작년에는 4인 가족 가이드 별도 밴 이용했습니다. 4인 이상 가족여행으로 가이드와 함께하는 밴이 먼지도 없고 시원해서 좋았지만, 친구와 저렴하게 툭툭이 이용도 정말 재밌고 편하게 잘 이용했습니다. 친절한 툭툭이 기사와 함께~

I didn't book a driver before hand and asked the concierge to get one for me. We ended up with an expensive driver that doesn't really speak english, can't read maps, and doesn't have whatsapp.
So look up the reviews here and contacted Hai. Hai gave us a good price, speaks english, comes on time and has whatsapp!!! Very convenient! If you already know where you want to go and are looking for a pleasant and reliable driver, whatsapp Hai +855 71 555 3414
That said, I wouldn't recommend tuk tuk for trips over 30 mins.

Had an awesome experience with our tuk tuk driver Khin Soknin. My friends and I had already been on an amazing day tour the day before and needed to finish off seeing the remaining temples. Khin was very professional and made sure we got to all promised destinations in perfect time. We finished off with an amazing sunset sitting on top of one the temples, and it will be a memory I will never forget. Khin gave us great knowledge of each temple, before allowing us to explore each temple by ourselves. 5 hours well spent. Thank you Mr Soknin for the wonderful experience.

If you travel all day with long distance in Siem Reap, I would recommend to order private car which charge is only $15 per day for 4 seated car. It's more convenient as you wont feel hot and tired all day. However if you want to have a sight seeing or to go night market, Pub street...you'd better to take Tuk Tuk which costs only $2 per way. Most of car or tuk tuk drivers in Siem Reap can speak English very well. You can ask any hotel concierg to organize for you.
