How amazing to be submerged and take part of the real country Cambodian life!
Not just as a observer, but partaking in the every day activities of daily farm living.
A breath of fresh air in the hustle and bustle of life!

They took it out of the city. You can take a tuk tuk for $8 to the crocodile farm. A must in Siem Reap. For $10 you can feed a live chicken to them. If you really wanna spend some $$ bring that credit card as you can buy authentic crocodile leather purses, wallets, belts everything. $300 on up.

My husband and I did the farm tour with Mr. Strange and Mr. Barang and it was far and away the best tour we had during our travels throughout Southeast Asia. They picked us up promptly at the location we provided with a very comfy (air conditioned!) car. We then drove to a nice family farm in the country side. They had us change into traditional Khmer farm clothes (they were crisp, clean, and comfy) and a straw hat. Made for great pictures. They also gave us croc-like shoes to wear so we wouldn't dirty our own. We then had an hour tour through the village where we got to harvest our own rice and had the opportunity to buy beautiful handmade bowls from Khmer women. They cost between $3-$5, so bring some small bills if you wish to purchase something to bring back home, but there is absolutely no pressure to buy anything. After our stroll, we returned to the host farm where they had prepared all of our ingredients for our cooking class. All of the veggies were fresh straight from the farm, just picked hours earlier. We made a dish called "1000 Vegetable Soup" or "Coco". It was fantastic. We also prepared a mango salad. It was definitely the best meal I've had in Cambodia (maybe I'm biased because I prepared it myself lol). After our lunch we had a few beers and took a 30min nap in some hammocks they hung. After we were ready to get moving, we said our goodbyes to the family and Mr. Strange took us to a silk farm where we had a very professional and informative tour with one of the guides there - all included in the overall price of the farm tour. This was sooo cool. You get to walk through each step of the silk making process from egg to scarf. Fascinating. There's a gift shop at the end of the tour where you can buy a keepsake, but again, no pressure. On our way home we had the opportunity to go to the monastery to receive a blessing from the monks, so amazing. And to top it off, my husband has been itching to try Khmer crickets (he's crazy) and Mr. Strange made a special stop-off to a street vendor to get some crickets for him. So sweet! Cambodia Farm Tours really went above and beyond to make this a special, informative, and unforgettable experience. I cannot recommend this tour enough!! Just do it!

An excellent tour of a small village visiting locals along the way. Hands on experience with a friendly village farmer planting and fertilising crops followed by a well organised cooking class. The food we prepared is the real local fare and was the best food we've had in Cambodia. A cold beer and a nap in a hammock topped off this highly recommended tour.

The tour is nice and interesting for me.
The communication via email is fast and personal. They would answer everything you what to know.
The tour guide arrived on time at our hotel to pick us up. Then we head to their farm (eco house).
The car had some problem in the way to and back. They took action quickly to change a tuk tuk. So, it wont be a problem for us.
The tour guide explained what we would do clearly. He wont only tell us about the village or his project, but personal story. We feel like chatting with a real friend. It is enjoyable.
I like wearing the farmer clothes. It is interesting to transform to be a village girl.
The journey along the village is impressive. Tour guide tells us a lot about the life there and the culture. I could learn a lot. The people in the village are kind. They welcome us friendly.
The host is very thoughtful. They cool our drinks (we bought from hotel) when we walked in the village. Sweet of them!
If you like, you could prepare some presents to the kids there.
Then we walked along the field, in the river, saw birds...
The way of watering the plants is not easy as the buckets would be happy. It is my honour to be the first lady to do so after years.
Cooking class is good too but i am not good at cutting or cooking. Anyway, i still could finish cooking my lunch! It smells nice.
My husband had a nap in the hammock. He enjoyed it a lot.
We also went to the silk farm and a temple.
Thanks for the tour guide to help my husband finding his mobile phone!
If you go to siem reap, try cambodia farm tour! The experience is unique and valuable!

A refreshing change from sightseeing the temples and bicycling, our Farm Tour and cooking lesson were great. We were dressed in local farmer's clothing, then walked to several very interesting (and photogenic) villages, helped plant crops, and experienced a wonderful Khmer cooking class. Then we ate what we cooked. Definitely worth the time. Close to town too. Excellent English speaker led my wife and I. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Siem Reap.

I had such a Great time on this Tour. It is so good to see the 'real cambodia'. This Tour hasn't been Discoverd by many tourist yet, which makes it Great. When you walk through the villages your not on of 1000 tourist to pass and I didn't see any other tourist all day. The walk through the villages and Rice fields were really Nice, beautifull!! After this we planted morning glory and a week later Chanra, our guide, send me a picture of how it was growing! The cooking class was really Nice as Well, had a Great meal!
Even though it is a bit expensice, I can only recommend you to do this Tour, it was one of the highlights for me.

Dit is een leuke, nog niet zo door toeristen ontdekte tour die een reële inkijk geeft in het plattelandleven van Cambodja. Hele betrokken guide die ook veel voor de gemeenschap doet. Wel prijzig

We probably got the best tour guide in Siem Reap with Cambodia Farm Tour. He did a perfect introduction of Angkor to my kids and us of course. He did not mind to work extra hours to take care of our dining after a fantastic tour to the farm.
Thank you

This farm tour look very interesting and special for a city girl like me.
Would the shoes be very dirty after a day there?
Do we need to prepare anything before going? did you need to pay anything extra during the tour?

Your shoes will not get dirty. They provide you with rubber boots. The only extra cost is if you wish to tip the farm family and the guide. It is a very easy excursion and very informative. Do it!
