Tuve el privilegio de tomar un tour por el cementerio y la ciudad de Punta Arenas con Frieda Lange & Co. Heritage Tours, soy exigente, preguntona y me gusta aprender sobre la historia de la tierra que estoy recorriendo, y realmente hace mucho tiempo no me sorprendía un servicio de turismo. Este grupo de patagones superaron mis expectativas, saben (de verdad saben!!) y se nota, se caracterizan por su calidez y amabilidad, conocen la cultura local y les apasiona su tierra, todo ello se trasmite cuando tomas un paseo con ellos y a pesar de sólo tomar un tour con ellos (pues tomaba el avión esa tarde), sembraron en mi la curiosidad por esa tierra maravillosa. Tanto así que en marzo 2013 vuelvo con mi marido de vacaciones y obviamente mis guías serán de Frieda Lange & Co. Heritage Tours.

El tour es una excelente opción para hacer algo llegando a Punta Arenas si es primera vez que lo visitas.
El recorrido de Sandy Point te lleva por lugares típicos de la ciudad.
La guía lleva varios años haciendo el recorrido por lo que domina muy bien las fechas e historias de cada uno de los lugares.
Muy recomendable de hacer.

Excellent tours of Punta Arenas and Fuerte Bulnes, with personal and intelligent guides. We were the only participants in both tours , and they usually have no more than six people. Without a guided tour Punta could be deceptively colourless. Our guides made the city come alive, even in the wonderful cemetery.

We have to stay two nights at Punta Arenas due to bus schedule to Ushuaia. We were wandering what to do after trekking Torres del Paine. We decide to take two tours of the day. City tour on the morning and Fort Bulnes tour on the afternoon.
City tour visited the cemetry where history of town graved and Lady Brown's house. Guide was excellant, we can see Punta Arenas in new view and Ushuaia's Beagle channel as well.
Afternoon visit to Fuerto Bulnes was a little bit not satisfactory due to cold and wind weather. But it was valuable to see what they do at the end of continent.

Mesmo em um pacato domingo estava aberto. A recepcionista nos atendeu muito bem, nos indicou um ótimo restaurante para almoçarmos e retornamos para fazer um passeio a tarde, na Reserva Nacional Magallanes. O guia Rodrigo foi ótimo.

En Frieda Lange & C. j'ai pris deux tours, Sandy Point et Fuerte Bulnes. À le premier vous pouvez voir et connaître la ville de Punta Arenas à un contexte historique et aussi vous pouvez connaître les lieux plus important de Punta Arenas. Notre guide était incroyable et ce lieu est une alternativa pour connaître la ville de Punta Arenas.

The tour was on the expensive side for our budget-conscious ways but it was WORTH EVERY PENNY!
We visited the Cemetery, Sarah Braun House, Vista of PA and Straights of Magellan, and also the town square. Our guide spoke good english and was clearly very bright and knowledgeable about PA history and culture and the city of today.
I had NO IDEA about the extraordinary history and industry in Punta Arenas. All this time I was thinking it was *just*-where-you-take-off-for-Antarctica...
For travellers with mobility concerns: I was travelling with my father who has early stage Parkinsons. Frieda Lange actually sent their bus to our hotel to pick us up before the tour so Daddy could save his strength for the (maybe a mile? and stairs) walk through the cemetery. The rest of the tour though was seated in the van with get-out type stops. The Sarah Braun House had stairs but plenty wide and with railings. Daddy napped the afternoon afterwards but will today tell you the tour was his favorite thing we did in Punta Arenas.

We took a tour of the city and learned a great deal about Punta Arenas, it has so much history! Our guide was great, he spoke English great and had a massive amount of knowledge about the area. I'd recommend the city tour if you have the time.

My wife & I will be arriving by HAL on Dec 27th and will be in Punta Arenas for 12 hours ( 6 AM to 6 PM ). Please suggest a tour that includes picking us up & dropping us off at the ship.
We are celebrating our 52nd wedding anniversary.
Moderate physical demands are no problem - love walking.
