We visited Imax@ the Tropicana Columbus Day weekend to see James Bond No Time to Die, the theater has a huge screen with a good sound system, comfortable seating, concession staff were friendly and prices not too outrageous. We felt comfortable and safe during our visit and would definitely recommend it if you’re in Atlantic City. BTW we weren’t staying at the Tropicana hotel so they’ll charge you $15 for parking.

During our getaway retreat to Atlantic City, my husband and me had the pleasure of experiencing Tropicana's IMAX Theatre. We saw the Invisible Man and loved it! The size of the screen added to the suspense and drama. The staff were very friendly. The popcorn was fresh and delicious. Once we arrived in AC, we did not have to drive. We were able to reach our destination and navigate between hotels via their Jitney service.

Only two showings of Polar Express. Sunday showing had technical failure where the first 20 minutes was not in 3d , then after requesting information finally a technician restored 3d only to have the last 10 minutes not in 3d. No official apology by staff during show or as people left. Seems like they were OK with not providing what they advertised. Second problem cloth side panels above the lights were extremely dirty . Not vacuumed or cleaned in a long time Looks like layers of dust and dead debris from patrons. Wonder about air system and health concern

We went last Saturday to see Frozen 2 while staying in Atlantic City with the kids. The theater is located upstairs the Quarter at Tropicana near the Christmas tree and Clubs. Prices for tickets were $16 and was worth it. There is only one theater but it was huge and loud and clean with no bad seats . We enjoyed the movie experience and the kids are already looking to see when they can come back .

We go to IMAX just about every visit. Always have enjoyed it and have no complaints. We saw Ford vs Ferrari on this trip. Did not disappoint.

Imax Theatre is an Amazing Place to watch Movies. I go Atlantic City every 3 Months and IMAX is always in My Plans. The seats are Comfy and good snacks there too. I am disabled and the Seating is awesome. I will be there AGAIN next Month for Sure. Thanks and Its Near Inside Hotel parking and Checking booth!! BONUS!!

I seem to remember an IMAX screen being bigger than this one. Also, there was a flaw in the projection that presented a line from the top to the bottom of the screen on the right-hand side - kind of distracting. Also, the theater had a mild odor of ?? Other than that, it was a satisfying experience, just not what I expected.

What a great experience for the kids to watch a movie at the IMAX in 3D. Great location , we made a whole day of it , enjoyed dinner at the Quarter then went to the movies.

Very nice theater with good concession stand and great seats. The location and decor is very nice, definitely worth going in to check out a movie.

Hi - There are several ways to access the many parking garages at the Tropicana and it can be very confusing.
Many people make the mistake of parking or valeting at the Hotel entrance off Pacific Ave and then have to take a one mile journey through the Hotel, Casino and the Quarter shops to go up to the IMAX.
The closest parking to the IMAX Theater is the Parking Garage off of S Brighton Ave.
Directions: Take Atlantic Ave to S Brighton, immediately to the left you will see a sign above your head that reads
"The Quarter Valet and Self Parking"
Turn Left, drive up the ramp, if you want to Self Park stay left, park and take elevator to IMAX , Theater is right there. If you want Valet Parking, continue straight up to the next level. Get out of your car, hand your keys to the Valet, walk in the doors and the IMAX Theater is right there. No walking through the casino! Enjoy :)
Do all the movies require the glasses

Not all IMAX movies require 3D glasses. The movies that are specifically noted as '3D' do require you to where the 3D glasses. if 3D is not notes, you don't need the 3D glasses.

General seating, get there early for the best pick!!
It it open seatings or reserved seating because on my ticket show row 1 and seat 5 and 6 . Its the reserved seating

ticket just makes sure you have a seat. you get to pick any seat you want when you walk in - first come first serve on that!
I bought tickets for infinity war for April 26th the day that tickets were available to purchase and received tickets for the front row. Is there anyway to switch our seats with ones towards the back of the theater?
