I have visited Dili many times on business and recommend strongly against this tour for the following reasons. Even charitably assuming that the operators hire a vehicle, and only run one tour of four people per day, this tour will be generating a margin of 40% of its very healthy revenue. The whole tour could be self guided for less than 1/4 of the price. There's no more than $10 of taxi's at most for all of the travelling. None of the venues has a cover charge. Four people can eat at the bbq for $20, or less if a local buys the food. Beer is not included in the cost anyway. If you want to tour ethically, do yourself a favour and use local taxis to visit the same places. Maybe even hire a taxi and/or guide for the day (ie put money into the local community). You could get a trip to Maubisse for less, and it would really be worth it! Avoid this kind of nonsense. It is a ripoff in my opinion.

I am usually raving (and a fan) for the Intrepid Group of companies and I had taken many high quality trips with them.
Thus this one really came as an utter disappointment for me.
Email communications was in particular a huge challenge as the local Timor Leste team was extremely unresponsive.
As for this tour, it felt like I had purchased a ground transportation package rather than a tour package. The guide spoke little English and don't not have answers to most my questions. I could have done it on my own by hiring a cab too!
