La Loberia is a beach about 2.5 km from Puerto Baquerizo. You can reach it on foot, past the airport, or by taxi. It is wide, sandy, with lava rocks and lots of sea lions playing or sleeping on the beach. Snorkeling is recommended because it is easy to swim with sea turtles and large schools of fantastic colorful fish.

Sea Lion colony has moved to town.
We went specifically to see the sea lions and were sad that the colony moved to town. The beach was rocky and water shoes are a must.
There were also horseflies when you got out of the water.
Snorkeling was good and we did see fish, turtles and a few sea lions in the water.
The walk from the road wasn't bad and the path was easy.

Very pretty beach and we got in some snorkeling. We saw a large school of pretty fish, can’t tell you the name of them. We also spotted several sea turtles. Our guide recommended we stay clear of a territorial sea lion. It was easy entry into the water. The walk to this beach is very scenic, with lots of lava rock. We saw several large black iguanas.

I loved this beach, it is very quiet, there are almost no waves and there are many sea lions to admire, it is a magical place to enjoy

It’s a $4 taxi ride to get there from town or. Nice sweaty walk on the road. The beach is nice but the best are all the animals in and out of the water. Tones of baby sea-lions 🦭, huge turtles 🐢, rays, fish 🐠 and birds.

Great beach to snorkel and swim at, lots of wildlife, sea lions swim with you. You can walk, bike, or taxi to it. Calm bay, easy in and out. Keep hiking along the well-marked coast trail past the beach to Alcantilado to overview of ocean where MANY turtles are swimming and bird nesting. Highly recommend.

Try to visit in the morning in calmer conditions. If the wind picks up from the south then this make for some rough and challenging surf - can be tough for swimming and snorkeling. Lots of sea lions and birds

This is a lovely quiet beach (we visited in July). the walk from the car park to the beach is only a few minutes and it's worthwhile. We saw marine iguanas on the path, sea lions in the surf and we swam with a sea turtle. Well worth a visit.

There is shade. One shelter so get there early. Surf dudes can be a wee bit annoying: use up shelter space for flexing their muscles and waxing their boards. Problem was, none were actually surfing. Amateurs every one.

Los loberias se encuentra en la isla de San Cristobal, a 2-3 km a pie o en taxi desde Puerto Baquerizo Morena, pasando el aeropuerto.
Puerto Ayora se encuentrs en la isla de Santa Cruz.
