I had a great experience with eagle ray at Gordon Rocks! I hadn’t dived for a little while and they made sure I felt comfortable, gave a great site briefing and even did a check dive to ensure I was properly weighted and practice a few skills which I really appreciated! The staff were super friendly and the dive was awesome. Definitely recommend for any divers in Galapagos :)

This operator cannot be trusted to deliver his product or tell the truth .
Please read this as a warning for those wanting to book safely in advance.
I am an experienced diver and booked 2 days diving several months in advance to secure a spot at the famous Gordon Rocks . A chain of apparently professional E mails directly with Alvaro sounded reassuringly positive and professional and deposit was paid on line and confirmation received.
On arrival onsite the day before the due dive the single staff member was unaware that I was coming and said no dive was happening at all. After some scrambling for answers I was put on to Alvaro by phone who told me another group had pulled out and so the dive was cancelled. . Alvaro had said he would try and find another option for me and even got me to fit some dive gear while waiting . I subsequently found out that Alvaro was actually on holiday and his boat was not even operating. Despite three further visits back to his shop that afternoon and evening no alternatives were forthcoming and Alvaro could no longer be contacted.
Late in the evening before due dive I was able to find a last minute vacancy with another company who were excellent by comparison.
I finally made further contact with Alvaro at his shop by phone the following evening. He made no apology and inferred that somehow it was my fault.
He did however agree to refund my deposit .
I am a patient person and could accept that everyone can make a mistake but this was definitely dodgy if not dishonest and his complete lack of empathy for those who have travelled across the world for a once in a lifetime experience is very sad.
I kindly hope this review may save someone else immense disappointment .

The instructors and all the staff was amazing. The way they are, gave us the opportunity to enjoy better the dive.The gear was in great conditions.

My husband and I just finished 3 days with the Eagle Ray team (day 1: Mosquera and Daphne, day 2: Gordon rocks, day 3: North Seymour). I looked at several dive shops and finally settled on Eagle Ray and it was a great decision. Everything from start to finish was seamless. They pick you up at your hotel, take you to the dock, take care of every single detail with the equipment, plan the dives to a T, take videos/photos, provide snacks and drinks between dives, bring you have to town, and provide lunch at a restaurant near the shop. I don’t think I have ever seen a dive shop so organized with the equipment. They also get you ready to go in the water with lightning speed. It is a very well oiled machine. I heard another diver who had over 200 dives call it “unparalleled service” and I would agree. If you are looking to dive in Santa Cruz, look no further!

This tour was absolutely amazing. My siblings and I came to the Galapagos for my brother's birthday/bachelor trip and this tour on the Galapagos was undeniably a highlight. My siblings and I went to a few different places looking to find a place that would take three discovery divers on the night before and it proved quite challenging. We told ourselves we'd try one more place and that was Eagleray tours and all I can say is: I wish we had gone to them first and there's no other tour that could have topped this one. The crew was incredibly friendly, calm, knowledgeable, fun, and dedicated to making sure we felt safe and excited to discover the ocean below. We had endless laughs, smiles, and most importantly: a life-changing experience.
I can only speak for myself but I am forever changed after seeing what is below the ocean. We were lucky because the other people on our boat were much more experienced than us but were so inclusive and supportive of our novice position. The tour guides took us to two spots until we found good visibility which was really awesome of them because when we finally did our dive, it was absolutely clear and we could see everything. It felt like a miracle to see all of the life below!
I will say that learning to breathe under water for the first time proved quite challenging. But we were able to have the most incredible time after we surrendered to the discomfort that makes it possible to breathe under water. The guides gave us such good education too that it was good to just remind myself of what I had learned and know that my guide would help me should I forget anything. And I will say that after seeing all the beauty below, you forget about any fear you may have had. It is overridden by excitement and curiosity. And with a guide who made us feel safe and secure, it only made the experience all the more enjoyable. The crew even woke up early to make my brother a birthday cake which was so incredibly touching. They all sang happy birthday to him and we broke bread on the boat which felt very wholesome and like we were part of the family. The guys on the boat were very friendly and welcoming, like people you'd want to be friends with even after the tour is over.
Thank you Eagleray Tours for truly being exceptional and genuinely changing our lives. I'll be showing the photos to people for the rest of my life!

My dad and I are from the United States and spend 2 weeks in the Galapagos. Thank you to Eagle Ray for such a great day and dive experience in North Seymour & Mosquera. The boat and equipment were great, and we even did a test dive with all our equipment on before the real dives. Alvaro and the crew are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Both of our dives were excellent and this was one of the main highlights of our trip. Would come back to this shop in the future!

hola, en enero estare 11 dias en galapagos, la mayor parte del tiempo en puerto ayora, queria saber si hay algun curso de buceo que me habilite a hacer buceo en leon dormido. saludos!

Para ir a Leon Dormido, debes hacer el curso de Open Water Diver que son 4 inmersiones en aguas abiertas y el Curso Avanzado que son 5 inmersiones en aguas abiertas, con esto podrias ya bucear en Leon Dormido ya que todas tus inmersiones las harias aca en Galapagos.
