One of the greatest locations in Gouna is Abu Tig Marina. Great bars and restaurants, a variety of stores, and a lovely area to stroll and observe people and boats. From Cairo, Gouna is a veritable haven of tranquility. incredibly neat, well-planned, and organized. Abu Tig and Gouna are genuinely a mental state.

Had a wonderful time at this marina. Lots of excellent cafes and restaurants to select from. Worth visiting whenever you're in El Gouna.

A perfect view full of restaurants of high quality mouth watering
Many activities to do walking diving snorkeling cycling shopping
My favorite place there ancient sand beach
Lovely bar with a great variety of things to eat and drink

Beautiful area, well maintained and very clean. The marinas and boats are spectacular, the shops nice and individual. Loads of restaurants and bars unfortunately it’s very quiet in February apart from weekends. It’s a nice place to walk around, very safe, people are friendly.

Nice place to stay for an evening or afternoon. Nice restaurants and bars with live music. A Segway tour is also recommended, super fun!!!!

Walking around the marina is an unmissable activity when in Hurghada. Even if you don't go on the boat trips, there is a lot to do there, in addition to the beautiful view of the Red Sea. Unmissable!

We stayed in El Gouna over Christmas and visited the Marina for a few hours. Nice place to stroll around, look at the boats and yachts, and have a bite to eat. Nice beach there too.

A beautiful place to visit, we are lucky to have the Marina on our doorstep, we stay in TCOV hotel and walk around the Marina each morning, the people are so friendly I sometime walk alone and it is safe to do that.
The cafes and restaurants are buzzing in the evenings with local people and tourists.
El Gouna is a hidden gem on The Red Sea.
The Marina is full of beautiful Yachts.

I am coming to Egypt Hurghada in October with my husband my daughter and myself. I'm really interested in doing a trip from Hurghada Marina to Marsa Alam by boat. does anybody know if this is possible please and if so roughly how much it will cost

Best thing to do is ask the Guide over in Eygpt if it can be done. The travel agents will not know. You can find out there at your Hotel or the Guide if you have one.

How long would it take to get here from hurghada hotel? Would a taxi be manageable?

It takes about 30 minutes, depending on which part of Hurghada you are staying in. Try to get a taxi from your hotel and make sure you haggle otherwise thwy will fleece you. Pay half there and the remaining half when they drop you off at your hotel after.
Its a really nice place to go, especially for a nice romantic meal and a few drinks.

I will be visiting Cairo Egypt in the month of September but all 6 nights i will be staying in Cairo .. How to get Taxi cab to reach here ? is there a possibility to come to Hurghada and return back to Cairo on the same day ?
