We arrived first before 10:00 for a stopover of 1 hour. It's pretty and everything is done to take nice pictures. The water does not exceed the ankles even for several meters. We warn you at the entrance that water and food are prohibited. It was once I saw the Awards in €uros that I understood, ice cream 3€, waffles 8€... It's more expensive than in France and they only take cash. We're being taken directly to the deckchairs except I thought I'd drop my things off on a little corner of shade just after the pontoon. Then it was the endless broom of boats that came to drop off tourists.

Orange Bay Hurghada, also known as Scam Bay, is a stop for the snorkeling trips. I think Travco and other companies are being paid to get people there. Sad, bland and dirty destination with ridiculous prices. It is not allowed to bring your own drinks or food, but no one will check your bag. The trip guide will not mention the extortionate prices, even for a bottle of water. He will say to bring money with you though. Would be nice to give you a heads up and allow you to decide if you want to bring something or not. Desert island, overcrowded, people stay in some kind of stables on some dirty hay bags, deadly heat, shallow water knee deep with a couple of swings and a hammock with long queues for a photo. Avoid if you can, or consider it as a negative experience/adventure you can talk about with your friends.

The boat trip is OK. Orange Bay itself is an island without any vegetation. The beach outside the visitor's beach is littered. I don't understand why you should lie down on a dusty sack in the shade. The prices of drinks are outrageous.

Lovely place to see from the boat but on arriving.... Dirty beanbags in what I can only describe as cow pens. Sand felt very slimy underfoot even out of the water. Prices on the island (you are not allowed to take any food or water with you if caught it will be taken off you) extortionate. The equivalent of £12.00 for a very small bottle of beer, bottle of water £8.00 didn't even go to the food menu. Lovely photo opportunities if you can avoid the insta crowd posing.

Even if everything is artificial, the place is well done with spaces that allow you to relax, you can eat or have a drink

Dirty, slimy sand, loads of flies, penned in like cattle, tatty beanbags, lots of stones in the sand, full of posers trying to get their 'Instagram' shot. Beach photographers hounding you. Stray cats pooping in the sand amongst the beanbags, loads of cigarette ends on the floor

Spending the day in Orange Bay is unmissable. The water is crystal clear, the sand is white, there are bean bags in the shade of the kiosks, swings in the water, the sea is shallow and the island is surrounded by coral reefs. Located on Giftun Island, you can reach it by boat. Guide Ibrahim, from Egypt World Tours, made all the reservations for us and the day was perfect, with lunch on the boat and a stop to snorkel. Unmissable!
