The stadium is huge but missed the organisation. Exit after event is very confusing. No proper gates to go out people are pushing each other to get out of the stadium. Not happy with the organisation management.

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium was the main venue for international and domestic cricket matches in Hyderabad, before the construction of the new Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal. The LBS stadium is easily accessible, located in the heart of the city.
The stadium forms part of the Fateh Maidan sports complex and is nowadays, primarily used for cricket coaching and by people jogging or kids playing football. One can spend around 30-45 minutes here. Entrance is free and is from the club house side only.

I used to paly during my school day, because my school St.Paul is near this stadium as well watch all type of event in this stadium

As a very young cricket enthusiast, i had watched the first test match to be held at the Fateh Maidan (Renamed as Lal Bahadur ) stadium in 1957.This Test match was historic as many old national & one world cricket records were broken here!The great Indian all rounder Vinoo Mankad by scoring 231 runs created a record of scoring the highest runs by an Indian in Test match & along with his partner Pankuj Roy set up the world record of the highest runs of 413 runs for the opening batsmen partnership! Subhash Gupte the famous Indian leg spinner also set up the national record of taking the highest 7 wickets in an innings in Tests. So as a nostalgic visit after nearly 50 odd years i took my next two generations to this place!
Many things had changed there apart from the change in the name.It was now flood lit,had a good swimming pool,shopping complex & an indoor stadium.It is very centrally located close to the Nizam`s college,Nampally Hyderabad Rly station & Abids Road.
