Temple maintained is very clean, water supply given with pipe, Dam was closed. water flow is not there still we can enjoy with family

It is one of seven holy theerthams in Seshagiri hills. It is believed that the holy water here absolves one from all sins. The waterfall is long gone. Instead, piped water from Papavinasanam dam is supplied here for the devotees to take a bath. The small temple here has idols of Goddess Gang and Sri Anjaneya Swamy.
All the six locations can be visited in under three hours. You start from – SriVari Padalu. Then return back to Silathoranam. The Rock garden and Chakra Theertham is located within the same complex. From here you go straight to Papavinasanam. On way back you can visit Akash ganga and stop for some time on the Gogarbham dam bridge. You will be travelling a maximum distance of 25 kms.

This place just about 20 mins from Tirumala Lord Venkateshwara Temple by any transport is known for taking bath in the sacred water which known for destruction of Sin. This is the belief here. Goddess Gangadevi has a temple here. Be careful of the monkeys sitting here as they snatch away your things if you tease them.

It was nearly 9.00am on 27.01.19. We finished our visiting Akasa Ganga, a harmony of beautiful water streams, water of which is coming out from the hills & falls down below. Next Our driver drove us to the legendary spot , Papa Binasam. We took our breakfast here with hot idly & tea. Then we proceeded to a small waterfall, water of which is coming out from from nine lion faced outlets from above & pilgrims are taking bath under water. This water is regarded sacred & have healing powers. The name implies that, here the ,” Papa” (sins ) can be redeemed ( Binasam ) by taking a bath here. Separate change rooms are seen for men & women devotees. After bath devotees offer their homage to a temple of goddess, Ganga”. We also came across a dam in the same name, Papa Binasam, adjacent to this temple. The water of this dam is utilized in the temple town on Tirumala hills.
The tourist spot is situated at a distance of 5 km from Tirumala Bus Station & 5 km from Lord Venkateswara Temple,. It is one of the popular attractions in Tirumala.
A well maintained park and a garden in the same name of Papa Binasam Garden has enhanced the scenic beauty of the place. The water reservoir & the surrounding hills with lush green soothes our eyes. On way to the bathing spot we also found the Venkateswara Wildlife Sanctuary .

You can book a cab & reach there, the sweet water coming out of the hill is something you do not to miss. We have been visiting regularly whenever we are in Tirupati. Lord Venkateshwara Swami has given a boom to people to purify their sins.

After the visit of Lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala next day with huge enthusiasm we left to Papavinasam, the farthest distance of Tirumala. Nice rode and buses are also present, wens reached I thought it would be a river where we will all enjoy but it was water flowing from pipes which was very unexpected, the food here is cheap and reasonable. On the way here there are many photogenic views.

too much crowd as plenty of jeeps brings tourists here making parking a huge issue, better to avoid this place if you are going with young kids

Legend has it that you are suppsed to have bath in this Theertham before you go for worshipping Lord Venkateshwara. The Place is about Six Kilometres from Thirupathy. The water is artificial.We went to have alook of this Theertha for curiosity and not for bathing. But we could see many ardent devotees bathing. Visit to have afeel Of Thirumala.
