If anyone is looking to climb the hills of Tirumala to have darshan of Balaji (Venkateswara Swamy), i strongly suggest using this route for ease.
We are 60 but could do easily in two hours. 2400 steps is the number to watch but no complications. Even size, fully shaded with very good views.
No issue with water, light refreshments and basic amenities of clean toilets. Easily doable in 90 minutes.
With respect to other facilities:
Transport from Tirupati railway station - free bus or Auto/Cab. Auto charges anywhere between Rs.300 to Rs.400 and Cab app Rs.800 - App 20 KMs
Luggage: You can handover luggage at the starting point of the climb that would reach tirumala in 3 hours. No stress if not locked also.

Srivari metlu is the fastest way to reach tirumala by walk. If you are less than 50 years it’s and no knee pains can easily opt this. It took 1hr 30 minutes to me to reach. Don’t carry plastic water bottles as they won’t allow in Tirumala.

We enjoyed while climbing steps its maintained very neat and clean. both the sides forest & greenery animals like deer park is excellent

Excellent views and just 1.5hrs to 2hrs. If ur strong u can complete with in 1.5 hrs. Only draw back is it opens between 6AM-6PM. Also food options r very limited.

We took this route and reached the top at in 1hr 35 mins , we started at 3:10 and reached at 4:45PM. It was a pretty hot day but there is shelter available throughout, water , snacks and juices available. The entry to take this steps closes at around 4PM ( timings as on 18th Aug 2022). No plastic bottles are allowed , ensure you take a water bottle and you can fill it in the filling stations whenever needed.
Please refrain from wearing sandals/shoes , the path is entirely free of thorns, twigs etc. Its all stone steps and they dont get heated up too as it has shelters throughout.

Climbing up 2300 steps which were clean and airy. Good views can be had and also snacks and liquids for those who are tired and hungry. This is climbing to a higher purpose in life and our life flashes past those who are earnest. Luggage can be deposited in the beginning and collected in Tirumala. Leave your worries behind and multiply your potential on a challenging trail to the top.

We climbed 2238 stairs in exactly one and a half hour. First few steps are easy to climb and balance are too steep. One should have fit body to experience this. Else its extremely difficult to climb.
There are lot of energy fruit juices available throught the journey. Drinking Water is available in abundance.
Very nice divine experience. It's so divine that you won't experience any body pain after finishing climbing. The moment you hit the road all the difficulties gets erased out of your mind..
Everyone should experience this at least once in life time ...

We went to Thirumala this time via Sreevari Mettu it is really excellent. It takes maximum only 90 minutes to complete the path. If you are so young and energetic you can complete in one hour for sure. It is around 15 kilometers away from Alipiri.

SRIVARI METTU is open for all now I came with a friend to Tirumala. There is no tag being provided for early darshan for those who are climbing and will have to go for the free darshan which is now over 10 hours and that's after the climb that's a let down. You can send you luggage from the office in front of SRIVARI METTU and pick it up on Tirumala after the climb expect a delay in case it's crowded. If u need to make bookings u can complete them before you collect your bags.
The only option if you have no 300rs ticket/ recommendation is either free darshan or 10500 per head which u can donate and purchase in the JTO office.
If you go for the 10500 you will also a get a room based on availability.

It is highly recommended not to wear chappals or shoes as there will be pasupu, kumkuma and camphor lighthing done by pilgrims in all the steps. Try to avoid. If need then try to wear good socks instead of chappals.

No, they r not giving any tokens for pilgrims through foot alipiri or srivari mettu. u need to have darshan ticket available to climb the hills. else they will not allow.
I am traveling to tirupati on 13th of august 2021, But i dont have advance booking of Tirupati darshan , If i walk through sevari mettu will i get darshan pass.
