Good market of Jammu city. You can find and buy anything here in this market starting from ladies suits to gents items,kids items and many more.

Aweful experience. Went to buy the famous walnuts. Asked the shopkeeper to give me 2kg of Paper thin walnuts also known as kagazi. Gave him the price he wanted. No bargain!! He even showed me a good paper thin walnut by tasting. And guess what when I reach home he sold me crap and stale walnuts which cannot be broken even with a hammer. Shame on the shop keeper of jammu city for such frauds! Beware people and refrain from buying from them. U can must 200 rs more expensive in Delhi than buying from those crap people.

When you shop around Jammu, the most common thing you will see at almost every second shop is Wall-nut.
Be very sure what you are going to buy.
Price @ Jammu
Minimum: Rs 90 per kg
Max: Rs 600 per kg
However, when you try and buy wallnuts, the shopkeeper will suggest you to buy anything which is more than 300 to 400 rs per kg, and thats very honest and wise advise, so go for that. The one which has a low price, honestly you cant break the shell of that, its so strong and stiff. Even if you successfully break them, you need a sharp object like safety pin or knife to take the wallnut out of shell.
When I asked the shopkeeper as why then they keep the lower priced wallnut in their shop when they always suggest to buy the costlier one, they mentioned very politely....." sir, wo kam daam wala sirf puja aur hawan ke liye" means those are for "puja" and "hawan" and not for consumption.
Hence please donot get attracted towards the low price, as they will be of no use.
Still even if you purchase anything between 300-400 rs a kg, will be a good deal and the market price is between 1000 to 2000 rs a kg.
So, enjoy wallnut shopping as its good for your heart and skin !!!!!!

It is near the main bus stand where number of mini buses with minimal charges say 10 to 20 re can go around all over the city . no govenment buses for local transport system. the goods sold in hari market is mainly for travellers and not long lasting

This market is placed at a strategic location ,easily accesible for the tourists all round the year. The market houses things once can take home after their pilgrimage is completed.

Hari market is named after maharaia Hari sing ,last dogra rular of Jammu&Kashmir.it is situated near main bus stand.this marketis famous for dry fruits and electronics goods.yatri niwas provides accomodation to yatries going to Vashno devi at reasonable rates.yatri niwas is situated above the Harimarket.it is on the main road and is acceble to all main stations of Jammu.it is on the back side of famous Rughnath temple.

a main market near the bus stand area, houses all kind of shops, you will find a lot of walnut shops, but do keep in mind that the rates are generall for tourists
