A controlled environment to sight lions, tigers and bears up close

We had booked the jeep safari for 10 am online through the website around 3 weeks before our intended day of visit. We reached at around 9:30 am and joined the waiting area for the jeep safaris to start. At sharp 10 am, we got assigned our jeep and the safari began. Overall it was a good experience with plenty of sightings of deers, elephants, lions, tigers and bears up close. They were in specific designated zones called “herbivores safari”, “bear safari” etc. The entry from one zone to the other was through gates controlled by humans. The zones with their gates reminded me of Jurassic Park! In that sense, it was a bit different from the other national parks that we had been to such as Bandipur. It has its own pros and cons. The controlled environment guarantees sightings. But then you don’t get a feeling of being in a dense natural forest.

After the safari, we visited the butterfly park and zoo. The animals looked well fed and well cared for.

All in all, a nice half day break from the routine.

Ce Parc est une honte et un scandale dans le traitement des animaux..tout d’abord un « safari » fait à toute allure pour voir quelques animaux inertes (drogués ?) ou attachés (les éléphants) et qui tournent en rond devant les grillages
Ensuite la volière des papillons (rien à voir) et pour finir un zoo minable…
Et oubliez de vous restaurer sur place !
Qu’une envie : fuir !!!

Well spent Sunday with flora & fauna

On 29th Jan'23, myself with my son & hubby got to visit Bannerghatta National park, entrance ticket was around Rs.380 (including both safari & Zoo).

During Safari, spotted few animals - Lion, tiger, Bear, Elephants etc., then walked for few kms at the Zoo. Got to see varieties of animals, birds, reptiles etc., Elephant Sanctuary & Butterfly park are the other attractions available near by Zoo.

Lot of stalls are available inside for toys, eatable items, juices etc.,

Well spent Sunday with family.

Safari + Zoo + More

It was a lovely day and took some time to get some snacks, do the safari tour and look at the zoo. Many options are available to do the safari tour as part of a small guides group in a 4wd or something similar or as part of a bigger group. I was happy to see that all day the animals were quite active both in the safari and zoo. I loved seeing the monkeys causing mischief around the zoo and many people were friendly.

Worth visiting..

Must try Jungle Safari. Kids can enjoy a lot. worth visiting. zoo tour with buggy ride is also worth trying.

No white tiger but ...

My friend and I visited the park this week and we had an enjoyable time connecting with nature. I'm not a zoo person, so I opted for the safari, but even so, I didn't spot the white tiger, so I took a zoo visit but didn't see it there either.

Nevertheless it's a must do if you want to disconnect from the hustle

Half day visit
