Another temple which is Bangalore's oldest one. This temple is dedicated to Nandi Bull. Inside there is a huge idol of Nandi Bull which apparently was carved from a single rock. It was one of the sites that our group visited as part of the trip.

Went to the Bull Temple first with a guide, then back with my fiancé. It is busier at the weekend. The priest is lovely. No photos inside the shrine, but if you put money on the tray you will be given a blessing. The bull is the third largest in India and is well worth seeing. Don’t forget to walk round the outside of the central shrine.

Not much to see other than the Bull statue. You can't take a photo of the statue once inside the temple , only just outside. Still interesting

We went on a little tour of Bangalore and visited the Bull temple and Ganesh temple. They are just next door to each other.
The bull temple was very interesting and the story behind it fascinating.
The Ganesh temple was much more active with local people coming to worship.
It was absolutely fascinating and something I don’t think we will ever forget.
We are a British couple and all the people whilst practicing their religion were extremely welcoming and we felt comfortable being part of the experience.
A fascinating experience that I’m very glad we took the time to appreciate.

Peaceful and Tranquility are the two words that comes to my mind when I think of this place. This temple is able to maintain that status despite being in the bustling of the crowded traditional market place called Gandhi Bazaar in South Bangalore. If we closely watch the address of this temple you can see the location name as "Basavana Gudi", which literally translates to "Bull's Temple". Yes, this entire location in the busiest south Bangalore is named after this temple, and that is how important is this place for Bangaloreans. This temple is still able to maintain the old charm and peacefulness amidst staying close to the busy main road. It has a long history, you can find it in Google. If you are in Bangalore, pls visit this place if you are a temple lover.

Good to visit, can't spend more than 1 hour. You can explore with family once in a while.

This temple is of Nandi ji, who is worshipped alongwith Lord Shiva. The diety statue is very large. Further, the aura and energy in the temple is amazing. One has to climb 10 to 15 stairs to get to the temple. Worth visiting.

It's a rather small temple centred around a big bull and an interesting story behind it. It is also surrounded by the peaceful Bugle Park. Definitely one to visit for first-timers, but I am not sure if I would make my way all the way here again just for this.

Official open timing is 7:30am. We had to wait for an hour because doors opened at 7:30 and not 6:30am as mentioned in here.

When I visited it was wedding season and many people were dressed in their best clothing. I was not, but I was well received by the pandit. The pavement can be very hot on the soles of your feet if you are not used to walking barefoot. For that reason it would be best to go early in the morning. Enjoy this beautiful temple.
