On 1st Jan'2023, myself along with my hubby & son got to visit Kote Venkataramana temple.
It was a beautiful temple, built in Vijayanagara style dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara. The temple was constructed next to the old fort, which was the home of the Mysuru Wodeyar royal family before it became the palace of Tipu Sultan.
The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Venkateshwara, will be in a standing posture with four hands one in varada posture, one placed over thigh and other two holding Shanka and Sudarshana Chakra.
The temple was decorated so beautifully on the day of New Year. We had great blessings & dharshan at the temple.

En restauration - février 2020
Magnifique site du 17ème en style dravidien.
L'ensemble est élégant et bien proportionné. Très beau gopura et l'interieur du temple est assez travaillé. Même sous les travaux, c'est très beau
Quelques belles sculptures
En cette fin février 2020, le site est en pleine restauration. Cela n'empêche pas d'apprécier le temple et ses batiments annexes. Belle vue de l'extérieur, et notamment depuis le Tipu Summer Palace auquel le complexe était lié.

Very nice temple. Darshan of Lord provided in an orderly manner. Then,

This is huge complex which is a few hundred years old temple and is next to Tipus Summer palace .
The pillars are a wonderful artwork.
The decoration are superb on festival days .
Kalyana Utsava are performed regularly here by devotees.
The prasadam is tasty .

This temple authorities maintains temple decorum. They manage the queue well and allow followers a chance to have a pooja and stay for at least a few minutes while pooja is going on. Authorities are not in a rush to push us out. Please visit

They made a small stage and decorated with glass pieces and enamel. The God is placed on stage. I felt Though it is small it reminds of mughal e azam song decoration. We get to see this only during some big festivities.

Temples are always shrine no don't about this so I should not tell all this. It is worth going at least once .

Temple follows all traditions and has chariot procession during vaikunta ekadashi. Has a hanuman temple too. Very convinient bus stop for reachig this place. Parking and chappal stand too available

This temple is a quite exceptional when it comes to festivals as they decorate with grandeur and they too hold a chariot procession of God within the temple. They have a wooden chariot carved excellent. Bhakti is infused by the big vekataramana idol.

Its is in the center of city, hence easy to reach. Fine temple with main daity of Venkataramana. On the sides you have a Hanuman and the other side beautiful amman.
You can also perform Kalyana Utsavam in this temple. Well organized and nice temple to go.
