A majestic 200 year old church located in centre of Bengaluru city. Dont forget to click lots of pictures
Has ample car parking space and suitable for other events too.
Visited here for a Sunday service during November month and it was a special service for army people.
Was astonished to see so many army people and ex army people dressed up in full for that special service.
Has multiple service timings every Sunday. So do check them directly for service timings

I dropped in when walking by. A wedding was in preparation. The architecture is nice enough (British - not what you come to India for) but I was amazed by the light + the smell of 1000s of fresh local flower arches crafted for the wedding.

As an Anglican Christian, St. Mark's is where I worship when in Bangalore. This stunning heritage church built in 1808-1812, fills completely multiple times each Sunday, and was designed to reflect the architecture of St. Paul's Cathedral in London. If you just visit to see the architecture, the bonus is that this is not a museum, but very much the center of a very active and lively faith community.

A nice stop if you are visiting the different churches in Bangalore, a little bit of English history

As a visitor to Bangalore, I was curious about the churches in the city and visited a few of them, with St Mark's Cathedral being one of them. The hotel is within walking distance from my hotel in the UB City area. I liked the yellow color of the church and it had a little bit of colonial feel with the open windows and ceiling fans above.

This is on one end of MG Road and quite accessible. Worth a visit just to get away from the chaos and the church is very hospitable too. Try to catch a sermon to get a slice of life here.

St Mark's Cathedral is small in comparison to other cathedrals both in India and elsewhere. It is located on the busy MG Road and one can access it by car (parking available), Metro or by bus. There are toilets in the grounds but I cannot attest to their cleanliness.
There are a number of beautiful trees and the garden is kept up as best as one can in the heat.
The Cathedral was built in 1812 and is in typical colonial architecture. Wide verandas with archways surround the building. During the week, access is through a side entrance which looks like someone's office. A baptismal font stands in front of a beautiful stained glass window.
The church itself is fairly plain and must be well attended as the wicker seated pews fill every inch of space.
A lovely semi circular stained glass window above the entrance door would allow light to play a colourful scene.
Spend a few minutes here and do donate to the upkeep which must be difficult in a non Christian community.

A church with great architecture and a very peaceful atmosphere. Well kept garden and definitely worth a visit while in Bengaluru.

A British colonial era church which shows some of the history of colonial Bangalore. I really enjoyed the inside of the church and it was really peaceful. The gardens outside are also quite nice. and I think its worth it, as it a well-preserved colonial era church.
