It worths to visit if you are in the region, However you need to travel with a SUV. Avoid the area during rainy season. There is a view point nearby as well.

Went there on Christmas Eve, quite far off from Chikmagaluru city. You have to take a bumpy ride from the entrance with 13 other co passengers.there is long wait time if you reach late. You have to walk for the last kilometre to reach the falls. The fall’s itself is very beautiful and worth visiting.It took a long time for the return journey as we got stuck in traffic jam due parking on both sides of the road.
One advise is to reach there early , particularly if you are visiting on week end or Holidays.

U need to travel in a government forest keep for 12 km ~ 45 mins to reach the falls which will cost per person 500 rupees. Last time to book the jeep is 4 pm

Hebbe falls are about 10 km from Kemmangundi hill station and about 13 km by a 4 wheel drive Jeep to the falls.
Trek here to enjoy the realm of nature, with the magnificent views of the forest.
Hidden inside the Bhadra wildlife sanctuary.
Plenty of leeches around so better to cover head to foot.
The cool air, the sound, and the bounteous beauty of the falls are a pure delight.
The panoramic view of the surrounding forest and the coffee plantation is awesome.

It was worth visit . Please combine Hebbe waterfalls and Z point trekking. We stayed at Kemmangundi hill resort and visited on the weekday. Our vehicle was the first vehicle on that morning. We were very lucky to spot the Tiger and herd of Sambar deer , jungle fowl and peacocks.
The 12 km off-road drive was very adventurous and thrilling.. You have to walk for 10 mins to reach the waterfalls from the Jeep parking. The walk was very amazing passing through small bridges and water streams.
Finally the amazing waterfalls.. During our visit it was less crowded so we enjoyed like private waterfalls.
We enjoyed very much and memorable experience..

What a magnificent trip it was. If you are planning a trip to Chikkamaglur, plan 1 day trip towards Hebbe falls and you can cover places like Kemmungundi, Z point, Hebbe falls all in 1 day. You have to book a personal car/taxi/jeep or prefer a auto if you have a group of 2-3 people. Start your journey early morning by 6am from Chikkamaglur. Your vehicle will be stopped at a parking spot which is 8km before Hebbe falls. From there, the locals drive their Jeep which will take you to the most thrilling ride of your life going between the rocks, and himalayas, flower valley and various view points. Once you reach Hebbe falls, you will be given 45min to enjoy as they have to take back the jeep

Must a visit for water lovers. It is a 2-layer waterfall with good amount of water flowing in the summer-May month.
From the Jeep entrance, only forest official jeeps are allowed inside. The off-road trip to the waterfalls is a trip to enjoy. It is a muddy road. The back seats of the jeep are not light-hearted and the roads is bumpy. The 30-minute trip to the falls cost 500 per head and they need 10 persons to start the ride. So be ready to wait for 30-45 minutes.
Take a change of clothes for bathing in the falls.be very very careful when you walk in the pool in front of the falls and there are spots that are very deep.
There is no room for dress change.

Hebbe falls was truly wonderful. Tucked away in a remote forest within the greater Bhadra wildlife sanctuary, the silky cascade of water is a visual treat. We drove in our private vehicle up to the staging area where hired forest department jeeps ferry passengers into the forest. The drive is bumpy through dusty forest roads much of it through an area with open hill sides. The jeeps drop off passengers at a short distance from the falls at the edge of a coffee plantation. We hiked the 1km or so distance through the forest to reach the falls. The hike is flat and easily doable in 15-20 mins. Once you reach the falls you can splash in the water or perch on the many rocky outcrops. Even though it was the dry season the flow was significant and the pool below was adequate for swimming. One tip is to head there early to beat the crowds which seem to swell closer to mid day. Worth a visit during your Chikmagalur trip.
