Good Collection of Antiques

This place has lot to tell you. A wonderful collection of Antiques, gifts and souvenirs. In the entrance it self you are amazed with the Keralan Architecture that welcomes you, then take a left turn, look and stay mesmerized by the tales that are being told by those precious collection. Wonderful artifacts are on display. They are from Kerala and from elsewhere also from all over the world.

But it is very congested and difficult to move around because of the small house in which so much of pieces are stored and displayed. If a large group of tourists throng in then it will be very very difficult to move around.

It’s also a place to reckon glimpse of glorious Indian cultural heritage for foreigners who travel to India. One word - Awesome !!

I visited this place today and would like to share my experience with everyone so that everybody visits this place without miss.

The entry fees is 100/- for adults and 100/- is charged for photography. No charge for kids upto 6 years.

As soon as you enter the place, we would be awestruck by the large varieties of idols and sculptures.
All arranged in very neat and clean manner.
There are 1000s of items which includes idols, paintings, cooking items, jewellery, costumes, art, weapons, and many more which can be seen in all sizes.
There is a store where you can purchase Kerala special costumes/jewellery & a small cafe to serve some coffee and tea.

Hats off to Mr.George and family for building such a huge collection of items and storing them for future generations.

Overall wonderful experience !!
Must visit place !!

MUST VISIT

Must visit place in Kochi for art and history lovers. It's not just about Kerala but includes other South Indian states too . Wish they were allowed some more space to keep all the artifacts . An enchanting place that would take you to another era. Can make small shopping too. Do visit this place to know the true kerala culture and history.pay an extra100 and fotography is also allowed.

Expensive, Badly managed & disrespect of religion

Entry ticket is Rs.100 for this small musuem which is high & they charge extra Rs.100 if you want to take pictires inside very surprising & cheat tactics to earn money. They have nice collections of artifacts & sculptures from the old centuries. The issue is there are of lot of these collections on only 3 floors within the small area. Very less space according to collections so can't understand what you are watching as there are lot of items at one place. This is one of worst space managed musuem I have seen in the world. I was suprised to see on top floor roof there are paintings of nude Gods & Goddess, they have shown Shri Krishan with nude Gopis, how can they on what basis the shown like this?

Visited this fantastic museum on recommendation off our driver.
We were very impressed with the content and found it a really fascinating visit. Although the museum is crammed with artifacts this actually adds to its charm. My only critique is there could be more interpretation on the displays but staff were available to offer advice. A definate must in our opinion

Simply amazing, a MUST visit!

I am generally not very interested in museums but the artefacts on display here are simply amazing and full credit must be given to the founder and his family for ensuring these treasures are maintained and presented for the public’s enjoyment. The entrance fee is minimal considering the upkeep this type of collection would require and I definitely recommend a visit. Keep up the good work and ignore any negative reviews as they have obviously not engaged in such an enormous undertaking to appreciate the dedication and commitment given to this project.

Building architecture is stunning.

Treasure of private collections.

Private collections preserving culture, heritage and folk arts with art facts and cultural objects was a treasure for art lovers. With prime location attracted many tourists. We visited noon time and it was almost crowded.
