Pazhassiraja Museum and Art Gallery is beautifully located among the picturesque settings of Kozhikode and it is an ultimate destination for the historians and aficionados of art and literature. The art gallery is located in the vicinity of the museum and exhibits a number of paintings of Kerala's respected artists, including the Raja Ravi Varma, and Raja Varma, who were the connoisseurs of paintings and other performing arts. It is said that these paintings tell tales from the past and gives a visual history of Kerala.

Kadalur point light house is locally known by the name Thikkodi light house or Nandhi lighthouse. The nearest bus stop is Nandhi, from here almost 5 to 8 minute may need to reach there by foot. Monday is closed here and will function the remaining days from 4 PM onwards to 6PM. If you want to take photos incide the light house u had better bringing a camera because mobile phones are restricted to enter into the light house. General citizen is charged ₹10 and ₹25 for the foreigners. If you want to use cameras u have to pay ₹20. Good experience , nice staffs. On the top u will have a splendid viewing experience.

A well maintained lighthouse with an awesome view of the seacoast from the top. Visiting hours are 3-6 pm and the spot can be reached only with the help of friendly locals since there are no signboards after the deviation from the highway at Tikkodi. Senior citizens should be prepared to climb more than 125 steps to reach the top. The staff were very very friendly and willing to share all details about the lighthouse that is more than 100 years old.

The light house is close to the fort of Kunjali Marakkars, the naval chiefs of Zamorin who had contained the Portuguese navy for almost a century. There is a sign board on the national highway between Calicut and Kannur indicating the road which leads to the light house. Once you take the road, there is no sign of which turn to take. Once you reach the light house, the biggest disappointment awaits you. The gates are locked and it is open to the public only for a couple of hours in the afternoon. The guy who is supposed to be in charge and is authorised to give permission was nowhere to be found. After waiting for almost an hour I returned disappointed. This light house which gives a scenic view of the Arabian Sea and the historical theaters of war (from Panthalayani-Kollam to Kottakkal-Iringal) between Kunjalis and the Portuguese, is best avoided until the Department of Lighthouse and lightships (which is the agency managing it) wakes up to the tourism potential of this place and stops treating visitors like vermin!
