Ponmudi is a best place to visit on the way kollam and meenmutty. A one day destination. A nice place especially in the evening.

Its best to travel with an Itinerary. especially when we don't know much about the local sightseeing places.
If you wish to travel and visit all the major destinations in Trivandrum with out missing anything then the best way is to get suggested itinerary from Hindustan cabs.

I availed the Cab service (Outstation as well as City rental) from Hindustan Cabs. I had to go for a short trip to Kanyakumari from Trivandrum. Then i hired a cab for city tour in Trivandrum and near by places (Backwaters in Poovar).
The service was quite good. I got the driver details much before the booking. Both the drivers were professional, polite and knowledgeable. I found the pricing also quite competetive.
I am Quite happy with their services and i would strongly recommend them.
PS: 4 star is because the driver once tried to ask more money for Tamilnadu Permit. However i knew the cost so i didn't pay him extra.

I like to go to Ponmudi and on the way kollam and meenmutty, how much you will charge for this one. We are only 3 so need one A/C Sedan car.

After Lunch
Proceed to
1. Poovar back waters.
2. Kovalam beach.
and night stay in Kovalam or Trivandrum. a night near beach will be much more enjoyable.
Day 2.
Proceed to Kanyakumari
1. Padmanabhapuram palace. ( wooden palace on the way to Kanyakumari.
2. Kanyakumari ( Vivekananda rock , Thiruvallavur statue, Mahatma Gandhi smarak, Kanyakumari devi temple)
3. watch the sunset
4. Suchindrum Temple.
and proceed to Trivandrum night stay in Trivandrum
Day 3
Proceed to Ponmudi / Neyyar dam.
Ponmudi ( Hill station 2.5 hours drive from Trivandrum. Nice place to visit with some water falls on the way )
Neyyar Dam ( its 1.5 hours drive from Trivandrum. lion safari. Boating, elephant ride, crocodile park , Dam view etc are the activities ).

6 family members(all 50+) are planning a 4-5 days trip to Trivendrum and Kanyakumari. Looking for a cab provider who can first show them around all major attractions in Trivendrum including temples, museums, Zoo, Poovar island, Kovalam island etc and take them to Kanyakumari and show them around there as well(need not return to trivendrum). Please suggest an itinerary in reasonable price.
