Green green and green

Though trekking route is Rocky but not much tough.
You will be astonished to see the all around view from top and enjoy the greenery throughout the fort possessing large area if visit after monsoon.
A very few places is found such photogenic.

Steep hike on big rocks

Be ready for steep hike on big rocks and boulders. You will take around 45 minutes to climb up. It can be adventurous for first timers. But its fun. You get excellent view of the valley from the top. On top of fort there isn't much to see except some fort walls and a Shiv Temple.

Excellent with a group

This is a fort situated between Old Pune - Mumbai Highway. The road to the fort is very good. The trek starts about 7 km down and is a fair mix of loose rocks, steps and soil. Best season to go is during monsoon. On the top, there is a plateau and a fantastic view. There are only distinct remnants of the fort as everything related to the fort is gone. The trek is nice with moderate difficulty and ladies and kids can do it in 1 hr one way. On reaching the bottom one can have snacks and tea. There is free parking for cars on the foothills.

If one is short of time then they can drive up to the bottom of the hill and from there the trek is only a km away but it is still enjoyable.

Twin fort of Lohagadh

It's a fun trek which one can do on their own. Get down at Malavli local station or take an auto from Lonavala station.

Best attraction in Mansoon

Good location

Visapur fort location is good for one day picnic. There was nice environment. It was cleaned and cool. Enjoyed lots there with friends.

Amazing trek

We had left the car before the bhaja caves nd walked up tking the short cuts with our son. Most of them including youngsters went up using vehicles right up to the fork , one goes towards visapur fort and the other towards Lohgadh fort. Climbing up the rocks was enjoyable. Only youngsters were climbing up the rocks.

The best season to visit the fort is absolutely mansoon
.. The fun in climbing the fort through waterfall gives you different experience. The beautiful nature and the drizzle makes perfect combination to motivate you to treak....

Trek to Visapur fort is the best monsoon Trek .you will get small big falls on the way to Visapur and the view from the top of fort is just unbelievable.it is like a heaven on earth. Soak in the amazing beauty of this region with the scenic views.
