went with family, son and partner and other son...not teenagers!
Shashi is amazing. She explains everything so well. You will learn to cook SO MUCH food. You will leave with a recipe book and everything written out. Do this class whilst in Udaipur

We visited Udaipur in September 2022 and Sashi’s cooking class was one of the highlights! Another traveler at the hostel told us we should not leave Udaipur until we book a class with Shashi, and I could not agree more. As a big fan of the microwave, Sashi had her work cut out with me, but by the end of the class she had taught us how to make the most incredible Indian food. It was great fun and very interesting to see how these amazing dishes are made. Sashi and here family where so welcoming, and accommodating, and it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with them. Also, Sashi sells her cookbook and I would definitely recommend buying it. I’ve used it a lot since getting back to Belfast. She also sells her masala tea mix which is really good, and is quite hard to find back home so definitely treat yourself to that!

Was für ein besonderes Erlebnis. Shashi hat uns in die Geheimnisse ihrer Kochkunst eingeweiht und wir hatten dabei jede Menge Spaß. Das Essen war sehr, sehr lecker und wir werden die Rezepte morgen zu Hause ausprobieren. Vielen Dank für diesen wunderbaren Tag 🙏🏻

Very nice experience with Shashi and her Family! We felt like home and enjoyed the time a lot. In addition there is an Impression lifestory behind this cooking class!!

We had an incredible experience with Shashi and her family for a special Holi cooking class. They welcomed us into their home and led us through nearly a dozen recipes we look forward to bringing home with us and sharing with our family and friends! An exceptional experience to get a real taste of Indian home life and learn some cooking secrets!

My wife and I always go to a cooking class while traveling to learn some of the local recipes. Usually we learn just that, recipes. This was not the case with Shashi - she showed us the foundations of indian cooking. Next to the recipes we cooked, we also learnt how to make our own variations. The finished product was the best indian food we ate on our whole trip.
Lastly, I would like to say that how much we enjoyed meeting Shashi and her family. Their kindness almost made us forget that we were in a cooking class, we felt like we came home. This isn’t just a class that is a business - Shashi loves teaching and cooking and we will remember this experience forever.

Fantastic cooking class ! Learnt how to cook all sorts of Indian food ranging from naan, to magic sauce to masala chai. Would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in learning how to cook Indian food (no matter how good you are at cooking) Everyone is so friendly and helpful as well, thank you so much xxx

Had an absolutely amazing time! Shashi and her family were so lovely - really enjoyed being able to make such a wide range of traditional foods and it was all delicious! Very authentic and amazing experience, thank you very much - would highly recommend

We took the class in October and there were 5 others there. I think price per person was 1000Rp. We had a great time and so highly recommend it.

Hi, I did this amazing cooking class with Shashi a couple of months ago, but now I am back in the UK and can't find oregano seeds ANYWHERE! Does anyone know what else they might be called?

We bought some back home to Australia with us after doing the class with Shashi in January!
Otherwise I haven't found a source, when we need some more I might try emailing Shashi and see if she will post some? You could try that perhaps, the packets were sealed and OK for customs here so probably OK for the UK?
