Sushma’s cooking class
This was a unique experience for us to learn the basics of how to cook North Indian food (masala chai, butter paneer masala, dal, chapati, naan stuffed bread, jeera aloo). Sushma’s teaching was engaging and clear and took place in her home where she also hosted us with such grace and warmth as we enjoyed eating the delicious results of the class. Highly recommended. Her house offers home stay facilities and classes in painting (her husband is a well-known artist), yoga and music.

Fijne ervaring om met de ingrediënten en recepten een lekkere Indische maaltijd te bereiden. We gaan de recepten zeker thuis ook uitproberen!

We had an amazing cooking class at Shushma‘s. They took care of everything- from getting us there by bargaining the Tuktuk for us (via phone) to bringing us back to the city with full bellies and happy faces. All we learned was very good to understand & helped us stepping up our Indian cooking game. Recipes are provided. Also the beautiful home of Shushma is a thing worth mentioning.

De kookles bij Sushma was een zeer aangename ervaring voor ons. We waren slechts 2 dagen in Udaipur en dit was echt een meerwaarde. We hebben diverse gerechten leren maken in slechts 2 uur. Uitstekende communicatie en ze hebben ons vervolgens ook teruggebracht naar het centrum van Udaipur

We, four of us, attended Sushma’s Cooking Class at her beautiful family house with her amazing family. We made three vegetarian curries, three breads and masala chai. Sushma used all home made ingredients and explained everything well. We joined her cooking. At the end, we had an amazing dinner, home cooked healthy & yummy food, food made with love. We totally felt the difference between restaurants food and a home cooked meal, so light & not greasy at all.
We recommend this for anyone in Udaipur.

Le cours de cuisine donné par Sushma chez elle est d'une très grande qualité!
Pendant 2 heures, Sushma nous a montré et expliqué comment concocter de délicieuses spécialités indiennes: 3 pains (naan, chapati, paratha), du thé ( chai masala) et 3 plats salés ( aloo jeera, butter paneer masala, dhal) que nous avons pu goûter au fur et à mesure puis déguster à la fin du cours.
Sushma donne des explications précises à chaque étape de chaque recette tout en nous laissant le temps de poser des questions, de prendre des notes en plus des recettes qu'elle nous imprime et des photos. Elle répond à tout, patiemment, avec le sourire et tout son amour pour la cuisine.
Ce fut un moment très agréable.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la générosité de Sushma et de sa famille. Nous avons été reçus chez eux chaleureusement.
Nous recommandons ce cours sans hésitation!
