Ahar Museum is for the archeology students and not for the common people. The museum houses the stones and pots that were used thousands of years ago. Unless you know something about archeology, the museum won't be a fun visit for you.

This museum contains the finds of archaeological digs around Ahar and the history of Rajasthan. The museum is divided into themed sections in each room. Each room has a description in Hindi and English. All the exhibits have at least a label, and a few will have a short description as well, again in Hindi and English. The exhibits are good, with the paintings gallery perhaps the best of the displays.
This museum is adjacent to the royal cenotaphs of Ahar, so it’s worth combining the two into one visit.

This museum is located right next to the Ahar Cenotaphs and is a small single story structure. The museum is divided into two parts- one part displays the findings from the diggings in the neighbourhood where remains of settlements from the Paleolithic period onwards were found. These include pottery, beads, tools and other artifacts. The information legends are good but could be better. However, the sheer number and diversity of the collection more than makes up for it. The second part has collections of sculptures, paintings and arms and armour from much later period. There are some truly magnificent examples of Rajasthani miniature paintings as well as sculptures here. Once again, the legends could be better.
The overall upkeep of the museum is tolerable though there were signs of neglect. The staff is not terribly helpful or informed. Certainly worth a visit for the collection.

The collections are less and information is not specific. They have just categorized the artifacts and nothing much.
You should head to Albert Hall Museum for a much informative and lavish collection.

This is a very nice museum to visit. This place has a large collection of artefacts and sculptures. Must visit.

Изначально ехали в Ahar Cenotaphs , но водитель почему то привез нас в музей. Вход 100 рупий с человека. Мне нравятся музеи, но в этом смотреть нечего. Зря потрачено время и деньги .Наверное он будет интересен только археологам.
Сразу возле музея находятся Ahar Cenotaphs, вот там реально интересно.

This museum is situated near Ahar Cenotaphs. It's not visited by travellers much but is a great aid to know about history. Its well maintained inside but exterior and facilities needs to be spruced up to restore charm of this place.

Здесь собраны предметы исторических раскопок, которым не одна тысяча лет. Это место представляет интерес для любителей истории, всего древнего. Мне показалось, что об этом месте знают немногие, т.к. посетителей было совсем немного. Но на мой взгляд, сюда не мешало бы почаще заглядывать туристам.

Not many people know about this place but it is worth revisiting the history. Though it is not that well-maintained, but we liked how people in mesolithic age lived with pottery artefacts. The Ahar site from where the things were unearthed is closed to general public and is just a minutes' walk away from the museum.

Интересен больше для археологов. Предметы быта, монеты, украшения - все это имеет немалую историческую значимость, тк датируется несколькими тысячелетиями до нашей эры. Но простому туристу интересней посмотреть кенотафы
