Nostalgic feeling to see the machines of the bygone era. Visit to see different inventions by GD Naidu and also the evolution of the different electrical and electronic equipments over a period of time.

this museum is within the education complex. it can be covered alongwith the car museum. both close 5 pm, so ensure that you have enough time on hand. science museum has some interesting exhibits explaining scientific concepts. also several olden instruments are on display.

The car museum and the industrial exhibition are something that all Indians must watch. Should our civilization end, this would be the best documentation of our evolution.

I feel this place is more of for kids as a most of stuff is very common museum thing.A lot of unneccesaary things like daily stationary and all are kept along with a lot of exciting and old things being kept there.
However keep in mind there are no canteens to eat anything so if going with kids carry water bottle and some snack

About the museum:
It is been named after the greatest scientific genius of Coimbatore Late. G. D. Naidu.
This is a must see the place in Coimbatore.
>> Car museum: Ticket price= rs50
The price which you pay is worth it.
You will have less chance to see the cars and their models in the regular world.
>>Science Museum: Ticket price= rs20
Really interesting scientific items displayed.
You will have a chance to see a lot of scientific excellence as in the time frame and their development.
Tips for the visit:
>> There is a price discount available in the fee for 20 or more people.
>> Plan your day Because it was because time may be insufficient.
>> Best suited for children, even adults are very much interested in the displayed items.
>> Keep the internet handy so that you can surf and learn a lot of information.

Gopalasami Doraisami Naidu is a Genius from Coimbatore,tho' not formally educated beyond 10th STD,imported a motorized cycle and learnt all about motors.He invented the first Indian electric motor.All his inventions are kept in a Museum,GDNaidu museum in Avinashi Road, which is an inspiration for technically minded youngsters! Many cars like Rolls Royce, Austin and his invention recognised by Hitler's Germany in 1934 are in display!

This is in the same building as the GD car museum.
The wide range of collections speaks volumes about the determination and interest in science of a great man Mr.G.D.Naidu.
We can see a lot of interesting stuff here.
A few experiments for the kids explaining some concepts of the science is also there.
The different types of mirror will be definitely enjoyed by the kids.
They have a huge collection of different variety of things - cameras, televisions, radios etc., Do visit the old computers section and we can realize how far the technology has advanced. Takes about 1-2 hours for the visit.
If you have an inclination for museum and vintage items, then this place is highly recommended.

Gedee Car Musuem and Industrial or science exhibition is in the same complex so you can see both when you come here. On the Avinashi road very easily getiing here by auto from main areas of Coimbatore. The collection of Mr G.D. Naidu on all the products of electonical product, mechanical products, automobile and others is really awesome. Many of the exhibits were gifted by some people to Mr Naidu and it mentions so near the exhibit. You can actually see the evolution of product eg camera from how the earlier days camera was to what it is now. It is similar for lot of things like computer, tape recorders etc. The special collection to see is some of the innovations which run on video just next to the display of those exhibits which is must see. There is a small section for interaction as well which one finds similar to science museums. Overall must visit along with car museum when in Coimbatore.
