A peaceful forest area with a small museum with few artifacts and a hanging wooden bridge. The place is surrounded by pine forests giving a picturesque view, it also has a nature trail for some adventure lovers.

Great place for a leisurely stroll. The entry ticket costs Rs. 30 for an adult. There is a watchtower, a hanging bridge, and lots of trails. I'm not sure if there are any wild animals because I didn't see any. I did hear a lot of different bird calls. There are trails leading off from the main path which might be worth exploring, but I don't know if it's allowed and how safe they are. Might be better to go with someone than take any risks alone.

Well preserved pine and Cyprus forest full of moss ferns and nilgiris adjacent to a tea estate. Some places are sunny and have nature trail feel, at some places certainly have wild feel of jungle... Best thing is to watch some mammals. Forest department is taking good care and efforts..

If you want to enjoy a peaceful location, please visit this place. Small museum and hanging bridge are there to enjoy. This place is very near to city, but very calm and serene. Walking in the trails giving the feel of forest atmosphere. Had a nice tea in the canteen

Very beautiful place to sit and relax. Peaceful and mist is al around in the late afternoon. Beauty is wonderful forming a beautiful background. Good place to hang around with friends and relatives.

We spend two to three hours , this place is very near from the city but its far from the crowd of tourist. We enjoyed the beauty of nature.

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor we too decided to visit this place and it was really a good decision. The place is just awesome, it is very near to Ooty town but yet far from the crowd. Time just flied when we were here. Enjoyed the mother nature and tall trees. We will definitely keep this place in our every Ooty visit. There are 2 cottages which you can choose to stay as well. When I enquired, the officials told us that they charge about 2,500 per night for the cottages and there is no option to book it online.

Cairn Hill is basically a nice place in Ooty where one get away from the crowds and spend some time walking amidst trees in the forest. Not many tourists visit this place and we spent some enjoyable moments here.
