It is the largest palace of the Fort (at least in the area visited) and the first one you meet after the entrance, on the right, preceded by a large garden. It has a long red sandstone façade with marble inserts and two pavilions with a dome at the corners, and its construction is due to Akbar but the current appearance is however due to the embellishment interventions carried out by Akbar's eldest son, when he became emperor with the name of Jahangir. In front of the entrance is a large stone bath that some report to be the bath that Jahangir always carried around when he moved, while others claim it was the bath where Empress Consort Nur Jahan bathed. The internal courtyard is valuable, where various buildings, porches and loggias overlook and where you can appreciate the remarkable architecture and decorations of the shelves, beams and capitals of the pillars.

We hired a tuk tuk driver to take us to the red fort, baby Taj and view point ( including waiting time for 2 adults ) for 500 rupees approx 5 hrs .We had a great time. This was my favourite part of the red fort as it had many little exquisite rooms , some with a view of the Taj Mahal .We even spotted a little bat above the door way.Be warned it is one of the busier places .We didn’t have a guide as we read up about the place beforehand and there were ample signs to indicate what u are looking at

The Jahangar Mahal is one of the first buildings you see after you have entered the Red Fort. It's magnificent and seems to gleam when the sun is out. Inside the red sandstone is intricately carved. Not to be missed is Jahangir's bath tub on the path outside the front entrance. I'd love to know just how he got into it.

This is the first attraction one sees as one enters the Red Fort. The materials used are red in color, perhaps made of sandstone. The intricate mouldings attracted my attention
Took some pictures here and visited other attractions inside the Red Fort.

The Jahangir Mahal is the most notable palace inside the Agra Fort, of which it represents the main Zenana (Women's Palace); it was built by the Mughal emperor Akbar, with the aim of hosting his Hindu wives of Rajput lineage and their maids.
Built in red sandstone in an Islamic architectural style, it represents one of the first palaces built by Akbar that still exists in good condition.
Once past the entrance portal, you can visit the courtyards and the rooms arranged around them, equipped with the classic jali (lattice windows), from which women could "spy" on the life that took place around the palace without being seen; what you see gives a clear idea of the splendor and wealth that once characterized the palace.
During the reign of Akbar's son and successor, Jahangir, the palace is thought to have become the residence of his wife, princess of Marwar and mother of the future Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, who modified the Agra Fort to the conditions in which we see it today let's see, and built the Taj Mahal mausoleum, in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died giving birth to their fourteenth child.
In the space in front of the Jahangir Mahal was placed the Jahangir Hauz, a monolith transformed into a tank, which was used for bathing.

Auf dem Gelände des roten Forts gelegen, ist dies der erste Anlaufpunkt nach dem Aufstieg durch den Haupteingang. Sehr sehenswert und ein schönes Fotomotiv!

Akbar had built several palaces in the Agra Fort, and his son and successor Jahangir had added to them. These comprise the Jahangiri Mahal and Akbari Mahal, both approached through a beautiful gate decorated with red sandstone and yellow dholpur stone. The palaces inside are small, made almost completely of red sandstone, very intricately carved, and with some traces of beautiful painted and incised plaster.
The Agra Fort ticket, Rs 35 per Indian adult, covers these palaces. An interesting artefact just outside the gate here is Jahangir's bath tub, shaped like a giant tea cup with rough steps on the side to climb in.

This palace inside Agra Fort is probably the most significant building inside the fort complex, and housed the women of the royal household. There’s no much evidence of that, though I thought the most significant structures are the multistoried red sandstone walls and the huge bowl used as a bath.

The Jahangir Mahal is a beautiful designed royal building that is located within the Agra (Red) Fort. It has been said that this building was constructed by a former emperor of this area for his royal wives.
The Jahangir Mahal is just one of several notable places to visit that are located within the walls of the "Red" fort.
