We visited this place based on the trip advisor reviews and let me say, we were definitely not disappointed. This hidden gem is home to many-a tomb stones and graves of ex-pats from every corner of the globe, including the iconic Red Taj. Upon entering we were greeted by a lovely local who offered to walked us around and point out the more iconic graves. This place is a lovely step away from the hustle and bustle of Agra, not too mention a photographers dream

In a corner of Agra is a cemetery initially made for the Armenian Christians who visited the court of Akbar and the oldest grave is of Thomas Mildenhall an Englishman who died in 1614.
However this cemetery is famous for the mausoleum of Dutchman, Colonel John William Hessing, made by his wife Anne. It's called the Red Taj mahal as its made in Mughal architecture.
It also houses the tomb of Sombre the husband of Begum Samru.
It's a beautiful cemetery and very peaceful and we'll looked after.

The people who visit here are very few but this is a great historical place. This place is beautiful enough..Despite being old, it's charm will affect you.

It's surprising that not many people are aware of this Historical Piece of Marvel that houses some of the finest Mughal Influenced Architectural tombs of Roman Catholics that's artistry and no less than a Marvel in itself.
And one of the most fascinating structure is this Red Taj Mahal /Chota Taj Mahal that was built for a Commander John William Hessing by his wife as a gesture of love.
Once content admiring the Red Taj Mahal move on to others as there are other beautiful tombs surrounding this marvel.

Ein christlicher Friedhof mit Gräbern von 1640- 1929 was ich gesehen habe. teilweise sehr alte verfallene Grabstätten teilweise guterhaltene sieht bisschen aus wie Indiana Jones. ein paar große Mausoleen und Grabstätten im indischen Stil runden das Bild ab. Es hausen ein paar Bettler auf dem sonst unbewachten aber befriedeten Gelände die einen rumführen, die Mausoleen öffnen und einen die Inschriften der Grabsteine vorlesen. Gebt ihm 100 Rupien als Danke. ich habe ihm 200 da wollte er mich gar nicht mehr weglassen -;).
Achtung. benutzt Google Maps um dahin zufinden. Die map hier bei tripadvisor war bis heute falsch und irreführend.

This is commonly referred to as the Red Taj Mahal. It has graves of several Europeans, and most of the tombs were designed in the Mughal style. Main tomb belongs to John Hessing, the European who joined Maratha forces. This tomb was built by his wife Alice and is a must visit for those who love to explore off the beaten path.
