My friends and I got a warm welcome and were provided with beverages and an introduction to their stones and jewelry. Afterwards things got uncomfortable. The salespeople were aggressively trying to sale their overpriced products and wouldn’t take no for an answer. It was overall a terrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

I visited the shop in June 2022 during my visit to India. The professionalism of the owner of the shop impressed me, and the work they do. They have a wealth of gemstones and many different pieces of jewellery. I was also impressed about how many different other items they have, not just jewellery, including even pashminas. I would highly recommend the Handicraft gallery to other travellers while visiting Agra. I felt very comfortable in the shop and will definitely visit again while in India. I never felt obliged to buy something and could choose what my budget allowed.
They also ship items worldwide which I think is also good.
All in all a very pleasant experience.

Predatory salesmen, jewelry way overpriced. I never asked to be taken here, but my tour guide did anyway. Although the salesmen were very friendly, I did not feel comfortable in the shop because of how they were aggressively selling to tourists highly overpriced items.

They gave us a very warm welcome. The salesman got very friendly and got to know our interest and budget. I bought a piece of jewellery and when i came back to the hotel i realised that the certificate I have been given only says what item I have purchased without any actual bill to say how much it costs. The Guarantee card says you cannot get a refund but you can get an exchange, but without a bill how would you establish how much the item originally cost so as to determine how much cost can be adjusted!
They talk so much , play the music and do all pitter patter that you get distracted and forget to check some basic things like a bill or invoice. And the agent who takes you there definitely get commission.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I was taken here by my tour guide (big surprise) because I'm sure he got a kickback from it. I bought what I was told was an antique ring and bracelet, and the seller even gave me some crap story about it being old Maharaja jewelry that they buy in bulk. I recognized that this story was most likely an exaggeration but I liked the pieces so I let it go. It left a bad taste in my mouth, however, so I took the items to a good friend who is a jeweler. While the emeralds in the ring were actually real, he said it was a new ring that was made to look old and the emeralds were poor quality. He even took some of the fake antique patina off to show me how they made it look old. He also pointed to the stone settings and the clasp on the bracelet and explained why they are modern settings, rather than antique.
Again, I was pretty sure the Maharaja story was a lie when I purchased, but I at least thought the items were old (I like antique jewelry). Clearly I should have been smarter, but it's ridiculous that they are lying to customers about these things. It also turns out that I also paid WAY too much for the items since the stone quality was so poor.
Seriously, stores like you are what give India a bad name. When you see Westerners you treat us like ATMs, and it made me skeptical of everyone I came across after. For such a religious country, the paradox between your beliefs and your willingness to lie to and scam tourists is shocking. I would like to try to get my money back, but I'm sure you'll find a way to scam me during that process as well.
Shame me for not being smarter, but shame on you for taking advantage of my good nature and willingness to trust your intentions.

This the place where you can find India Musical Instruments with a fare price and surrounded by the musicians itself ( they always had a live mini concert) You can chats, learn about the history, and learn about how to play the instruments. We were dancing, laughing, and singing back then. Me and my wife spent more than two hours in the shops. Love Handicrafts Gallery!

There is nothing wrong with this shop being a tourist stop. Aren't all gift stores tourist destinations or places to purchase that special gift no matter what country we are in? We traveled through 4 cities over 3 weeks and visited many stores. The prices here are not outlandish, they may not be dirt cheap, but the products at all the vendor counters are nice quality and prices in keeping with other locales. These same items in a US import store in a New York City, Denver or San Francisco cost far more and you do not get the selection. We bought 2 wall velvet hangings, a small semi-precious jeweled one and a large one with a Koranic verse in gold wire. The Koranic verse was definitely unique, no other store selling these hangings had such an item. Both hangings are in shadow boxes in my home now and they are stunning. Each vendor was genuinely happy we purchased items from a fellow shopkeeper even if it was not themselves. There were jeweled evening purses, a perfect statement making piece. Though they were lovely I have no need in my casual life. But, I am still thinking about them.

The selection was great, but do be warned it is a tourist town/place, and hence prices are on the higher side and agents who take you there get a cut. Make sure you bargain well for what you want to get. We got some jewellery as we thought it was pretty alright price wise (after negotiating for reductions and discounts), but we came back to Delhi and got a second opinion from a friends jeweller who has a solid reputation, and he valued it much lower. His valuation ranged from 1/2 the value of what we paid for, to 1/3 of the value. We still love what we got, but it has tainted the experience knowing that they charged us almost 3 times what we cld have got it for. Hence be warned.

We went for the golden triangle tour to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and whilst in Agra, we thought of visiting a jewelry and handicraft shop- When we landed in Sweety's shop, it was such a nice atmosphere and a wonderful welcome. the shop was full of beautiful rubis with typical local design and some nice colorful carpets and old crafts. Whilst chatting casually with Sweety, we told him that we were in Agra to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. after a while looking at the amazing items in the shop, Sweety and his team called us in the music room and.....what a surprise!!!! The whole team was there waiting for us with rose petals, a birthday cake and the band singing lovely songs for us- All of us went dancing,eating and enjoying our time- Other tourists also joined us to celebrate the occasion- We had rarely such an emotionally loaded moment with very nice people with no back-thought of ripping off tourists! Thank you Mr Sweety- God Bless you and I really recommend anyone visiting Agra to visit the shop of this gentleman and his team- you will be amazed by their professionalism to recommend quite competitive items.

I need the store to email me back regarding a faulty ring that I purchased on December 2,2016 and the diamond stone fell off just after 3 days of wearing it. I was told that the company has a lifetime warrenty and when I addressed my concern if a stone were to fall out, was then told to contact them and they would replace it. Then when I contacted the store, I was told that I need to ship it back to them and pay for the shipping and they would repair it, not replace it.
There are two emails for this company and I sent two emails today and I would like a response as soon as possible and solve this matter.
Please check your email.
