The Camel's Back Road runs parallel to the bustling Mall Road but provides a different experience with distinct features. While locals recommend morning or evening walks along this route, it's also worth considering if you have the time and energy as a tourist. Stretching 3 kilometers from the Ambedkar statue at Library End to Picture Palace at the opposite end, it offers an alternative to the more crowded Mall Road. The Camel's Back Road is less frequented by tourists and boasts fewer shops, typically only 2-3 Maggi points along its length.
Although the scenic beauty rivals that of Mall Road, the quieter atmosphere and fewer shops might make walking here seem more subdued. However, at the midpoint, there's a viewing point perfect for photographs, which serves as a highlight of the journey. The road is wide enough to accommodate vehicular traffic, allowing visitors to explore by car if preferred.

Nice place to walk. Enjoy Shopping. Very nice woolen clithes, shawls .Good restuarants on this road. Cable car to reach the Gun hill point. You can have a nice view of the city . Night view was awesome.

This 3km long road is at back side and opposite of The Mall. This road is named as Camel Back Road due to the presence of natural layout of rocks shaped like a camels hump at the end of road. The Camel’s Back road starts from Ambedkar Status towards the Library on the Mall to The Picture Palace on the RHS of the city. The Radha Swami Satsang Vyas is situated on this road. The Camel Back road is famous for morning and evening walk and cycling. It is not crowded as compared to The Mall. Several hotels, persons cottages and Villas, Resorts are also situated and accessed through this road. Due to repair work on The Mall, we use this road to reach The Club Mahindra on Gun Hill.

Located in the heart of Mussoorie, the Camel’s Back Road is around 3 km long road lined with natural rocks shaped like a camel's hump. Camel Back Road provides experience of peaceful walk with nature. However, in morning and evening, the road becomes little bit busy. The road is named as Camel Back Road due to the presence of natural layout of rocks shaped like a camels hump at the end of road. It offers beautiful view of Doon Valley, also popular for viewing sunrise and sunset.

Rock in the formation of Camel can be seen from camel's back road. In case you are interested in walk in leisure then go for this. Views from this place are mesmerizing.

In as few words as possible - Camel's Back Road provide better views than Mall Road. If one is looking for a scenic walk, Camel's Back Road is the answer.

Though a little longer for those not used to walking but worth the effort for a quiet and relaxed stroll in cool surroundings. This was the second time we were taking this Camel"s back route.

We went on Camel's back on a day, when it was raining and so nobody except us was there. We enjoyed the View and Camel's back at leisure.

Beautiful walk. Totally loved it. Can see the Himalayan ranges quite clearly on a clear day and it's a walk with no traffic and no noise. Will recommend to all

Camel's Back Road connects the two ends of the Mall Road providing a longer, very quiet, winding and, most importantly, a level route compared to the steep inclines of the Mall Road. Provides for a nice, leisurely 30-40 minute walk with good views of the mountains and valleys.

Please remember when taking a rickshaw that you do not overload the vehicle. I have seen many fat Indians or several trying to fit in the vehicle to save money. The men who have to pull their inordinate weight are poorly paid and no person should use them as a beast of burden. if you are genuinely not able to walk, then take the rickshaw, but remember who is doing the work and that they have to feed themselves and their families.

A one day trip to either place is a bit of a waste. Stay overnight and see the place properly. Don't just add to the crowds.

If you are adventurous type then
Go for camps in adjoining areas and adventure sports. But if you are peace loving and want to relax, then I suggest stay in some peaceful resort like Orchid Resort and enjoy the beauty from top. One day Go for camel back walk, it will take 2-3 hours if you dont rush. Its peaceful slow and picturesque walk. After walk have lunch at any of the good restaurant and then if you feel tired go back to hotel or do some shopping.
Next day go for Campty Falls it will take again 4-5 hours

If you want to see the higher reaches of the Himalayas, why not try the upper reaches of Garhwal? From Mussoorie, you can go towards Yamunotri. Rishikesh is the gateway of road leading to Kedar, Badri, Gangotri, Auli, Valley of Flowers. Tehri is a hill station not far from Rishikesh.

I have been at both places. If you want more peace and limited area holiday, go to Mussourie. Manali is for adventurous and in the lap of nature. It is less peaceful more crowded, but still Good
