“Good old Church”

这是一个漂亮的老教堂靠近购物中心的那条路是最好的状态,它的彩色玻璃窗已经恢复了高雅。除了可爱的体系结构,除此之外很安静和宁静的地方

Go for the exquisite glass stained windows

It was one of the first Catholic church to be established in the Himalayan region. Established in 1836 it was earlier known as Lord’s Church. The church has eight exquisite pre-Raphaelite and Victorian stained-glass windows and a rare historic William Hill organ, which was bought to the church in the 1880. Near the church is a deodar tree planted by HRH the princess of Wales in March 1906 after attending the morning service at the Church and a bible dating from 1889 kept on an exquisite stand which is dismountable in six parts.

One of the oldest church with beautiful architecture. Beautiful window panes and a lovely location in the middle of the Mall. Must visit to see the heritage of Mussoorie

What a mesmerising place..

We were recommended this church to see by a dear friend from Mussorie, who also mentioned that it is the oldest church in the Himalayan region! So much history to this place! It's a little walk up from the main Mall road towards Kasmanda Palace hotel. While the church has service only on sundays, the caretaker living on the premises opened the church for us. It is also the only church in India to have the organ musical instrument, which sadly was never installed completely. The church is beautifully maintained and is so peaceful and has this air of melancholy about it as well. The well-placed pews, the beautiful stained glass windows are a sight for sore eyes!! It has a royal link as well as Queen Mary had planted a tree here in early 1900's after attending a service at the church. The tree still stands and is guarded with a fence.
It's definitely a must-visit for anybody who appreciates historical buildings and heritage and is 1 of the lesser known secrets if this hill-station.

Church on mall road

This is a Church on mall road- much closer to Kulri Chowk. 100m from the Kulri Chowk. We spent time at the Church when it was all lighted for Christmas. There are lot of places to eat around.

The Mussoorie Christ Church is located on the Mall Road. It is a small and pretty church. It is a good place to visit in Mussoorie.

A peaceful place in the crowded mussoorie

Missouri used to be my favorite place to visit my friends but this time we have visited to this place. And this is one of the best place to sit for a while a peaceful place. Here you can listen your heartbeat and breathing sound.

Stunning stained glass windows

A peaceful place in the middle of chaotic mall road. Beautifully decorated with imported stained glass windows, made by a Keralite. The caretaker was kind enough to open the church for us on a weekday, otherwise it's open on all Sundays.
