心得：皇宫很小, 基本是一眼望穿, 后面的区块是锁著的进不去, 拍照很上相的地方, 天气好的时候拍起来挺美, 不用门票

如果你在乌布的喧嚣之后需要一点安静的时间，这是一个纯粹的避难所。虽然星巴克和一个咖啡馆/餐厅毗邻寺庙，但它真的很安静。荷塘和精心打理的花园提供了一个宁静的地方休息。

这个景点就在星巴克旁边,是不需要收费的, 如果是下午黄昏时候来到,很适合拍出背面牵手的网美照, 旅游时间因为刚好是二月,没有开满的花可以当作背景,稍显可惜, 在乌布可以顺道当作皇宫附近逛逛拍照的景点,不会花超过30分钟

乌布镇中心的寺庙令人惊叹。晚上他们在庙里举行舞蹈表演。莲花咖啡厅就在寺庙的正前方，你可以预订一张桌子，边吃边看表演。

I would like to know the best time to visit to try and see the lotus flowers. Is there any in August? And is it true they option the morning?

I am not sure for how long Lotus flowers are in season. But we were there at about 3pm and all of the flowers were open.

this is the only temple that has free entrance. someone outside of the gate trying to sell ticket, do not buy it. We almost made the mistake paying for the tickets.

Hello. I'm trying to get idea of if there is anything at back of temple to see or if the temple itself (which I assume is large building everyone photographs) is the main area to visit. Also, is the temple itself ever open to foreign visitors with proper dress? And does the performance in the evening go on in December and if so, is it likely to be impacted by rain?

Hi Roothy 123, I was there in December last year and the weather was perfect. It sometimes rain but usually at night. There's a lot of performances everywhere in and around Ubud, so you probably just need to see what's on at the time you're there.
I believe what you see from the Café Lotus, is the main part of the temple. It says somewhere you need a sarong etc to visit, but so far I haven't seen anyone wearing it to visit the ground. I also read there are guided tours, so maybe that could be an option for you. Some temples lend you sarongs during the visit. Don't know if Saraswati Temple does...

The temple itself is not big. But if you want to take pictures, especially at the weekends, you might need an hour to capture some interesting spot around. To enjoy the view of this temple, I highly recommend you to take a good spot seat in Lotus Restaurant, which on the same location with the temple.

it seems you can't go inside the temple. but the outside view over the pond was splendid. and you don't need the sarong to go around outside.

This place is very convenient to access for any people. This is just beside the main road, your car can drop you on gate. No ticket needed to enter.
You have Lotus café and Starbucks on the Sawaswati Temple gate, so you can have a rest during your trip to Ubud.
