Travelling from Yogyakarta to Malang we made a stop in the city of Solo (also called Surakarta) for a visit to the Pasar Triwindu. This two-storey building, which I was told opened in 2011, houses a large number of antique shops, each of which has its own small space in the building. Antiques in Indonesia are a much broader concept than in the Netherlands .. it is a combination of real antiques, curiosities and sometimes junk. We found a lot of things on the Pasar Triwindu. For example, old enamelled coffee cups, garden chairs from colonial times with "Villa Hélène" written on them, old tableware parts, spirit roasters. But also interesting really antique objects, ethnographics etc. We bought an antique iron "golok", a kind of axe to split wood with, decorated with a salamander and a turtle, both in metal. Wsl 19th century. Asking price was 500,000 IDR, after some back and forth bidding we came to a purchase price of 220,000 IDR, about €12. Everyone satisfied, buyer and seller. Because haggling is very common here for objects like this. If you don't haggle, people are sometimes even a little disappointed that you don't play the game. Nice place to wander, the Pasar Triwindu!

The location is near Pura Mangkunegaran, you can find antique stuff here. If you lucky you will get the lowest price. Best destination in Solo, You will really love this place.

Located in the heart of the city the market was so easy to reach. When you walk in to the market you just like to steppin back in time. I got some uniq item with good price here , the seller also was so honest to inform which the item was real antique and not

Me and my wife visited this market to look for some old Javanese statues and accessories. Most of the stores were sell the same products. So we should to compare the price first before we buy. Some products actually were new, but they made it with old and antique design. I think this is the best place to find antique and unique accessories and crafts in Central Java.

2泊5日のジャワ島世界遺産紀行というパッケージツアーに参加しました。
午前中にボロブドゥール寺院で日の出観光した後、ソロに移動して市内観光がありました。
市内にいくつかある市場の内、こちらを見学しました。
屋内には間口の狭い店がぎっしりと並んでいて、骨董品なのかガラクタなのか、よく分からないものを扱っていました。

Abbiamo trascorso due ore piacevolissima in questo mercato delle pulci, su 2 piani, stracolmo di oggetti di artigianato locale e di anticaglie. Un luogo autentico in cui fare buoni acquisti. prezzi interessanti. Andateci.
