Wij zijn meer dan een uur binnen geweest. Om de sfeer en de beelden en verering op ons in te laten werken. Ook zelf de ronde gedaan met wierook en kaarsen. Zeer de moeite waard.

Här är det rött, mycket rökigt, mycket folk och mycket kinesiskt. Det verkar som att väldigt många människor går hit för att be. Det finns ett separat ställe för eldning utanför med uppställningsplats för stora facklor vilket behövs då många har med sig mycket som brinner…både in till och ut från templet.

This is a Chinese / Buddhist temple located in the older/ central part of Medan. It is easy to find/ and there isn't any admission charge. It is a lovely example of this type of temple and offers a slightly different insight into Indoneisan culture (being that the country is predominantly Muslim). It is worth a visit.

Chinese Buddhism represents one of the permitted religion in Indonesia and this temple really showed small but meaningful details of said religion, the shrines, the drawings even the people passing by and performing their ritual

vihara ini merupakan vihara yg cukup tua dan cukup besar di medan, vihara ini juga ada 10 raja neraka, dewa2 besar, banyak yg sembahyang disini, melepas satwa disamping vihara, seperti melepas burung dan kura2 di samping vihara ada 1 jalan kecil ke sungai.

Lokasi vihara ini sedikit masuk ke jalan kecil dari jalan utama Hang Tuah.
Halaman vihara yang cukup untuk parkir mobil, dan suasana yang tenang.

A nice and colourful Chinese temple with many deities. If you have extra time, good to spend about an hour here walking around the temple. No entrance fees required.
